The touchscreen also has a 20:09 viewing ratio and a maximum luminance of 800 nits. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM.

The Oppo Reno 8 5G sports a triple camera setup. It has a 50-megapixel primary camera with an Exmor-RS CMOS sensor. This primary camera works on EIS. Along with this, the phone consists of an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, the Oppo Reno 8 5G sports a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The camera app is relatively easy to use.The primary camera produces very intricate images which have good color dynamics. The phone's low-light camera performance was passable, and it was able to take decent pictures in well-lit settings. 

The Oppo Reno8 5G houses an acceptable Li-Po type battery of 4500mAh, which is non-removable. It supports 80W fast charging. The phone reaches full charge in under thirty minutes.
