Samsung Galaxy A50

Just like the Samsung Galaxy M30, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also has a triple camera setup. The smartphone sports a wide-angle 25MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera coupled with a 5MP sensor camera, both having an aperture of f/2.2.

The front camera of the Samsung Galaxy A50 is a high 25MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture that is placed in a drop notch on display.

With the default camera app, the user gets a range of features such as the Pro mode, portrait mode, slow motion, AR emojis, and live focus. You can select your preferred image resolution of 1:1 or 4:3. The camera has an outstanding performance in daylight and well-lit conditions and provides vibrant and clear pictures. There is no dedicated night mode in the Samsung Galaxy A50 camera, and the pictures were taken in low light turn out average with insufficient details.

With insufficient light, the front camera is capable of capturing portrait selfies with sharp details. It also has a Live Focus function for the bokeh effect that you can modify later.

Exynos 9610 processor powers the Samsung Galaxy A50. Samsung’s in-house built chip has octa-cores split into two quad-core fragments and is built on a 10nm FinFET process. The Cortex-A73 cores in one group are clocked at 2.3GHz, while the Cortex-A53 CPUs in another group are clocked at 1.7GHz. The processor is paired with a Mali G72MP3 GPU to provide the user with a great graphics experience.

The Galaxy A50 runs Samsung’s latest One UI, which is built on Android Pie. The new interface was created for longer phones. It is simpler to operate using a single hand, and it has fun animations and vivid iconography.

The Exynos 9610 is a high-performance chipset that can offer a constantly seamless performance during demanding tasks such as operating heavy software, multiple apps, and gameplay. The RAM management on the Galaxy A50 isn’t particularly harsh, and transitioning amongst open apps is fast and lag-free.

The latest Exynos 9610 appears to be a capable mid-range processor, comparable to a Snapdragon 660 or 675 SoC. During a 30-minute session, the smartphone gets a little warm, but that is just one of the drawbacks of a mid-range smartphone.

One of the distinct features of the Samsung Galaxy A50 is its On-screen fingerprint unlock sensor. The smartphone boasts of an Infinity-U Super AMOLED display that gives an HD+ feel. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the bottom of the phone underneath the display, visible only when this sensor is required. This fingerprint unlocks an optical sensor as opposed to the ultrasonic sensor of premium phones.

Although the On-screen fingerprint sensor is intriguing for a smartphone with a price of less than Rs 20,000, it’s not the Galaxy A50’s best function. The sensor is sluggish when it comes to the recognition and activating of the mobile device. It usually takes a few seconds to unlock the smartphone. You must keep your finger steadily positioned on the monitor’s particular region before it completes the task. It works even when the display is switched off, and there’s a ripple effect animation that’s identical to the Galaxy S10’s.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 also supports a Face ID unlock feature, which is faster to use than the On-screen fingerprint unlock.
