Xiaomi Mi NoteBook 14 e-Learning Edition (10th Gen Core i3/ 8GB/ 256GB SSD/ Win10)

Designed specifically for all users, this sleek and light device sports a 35.56 cm FHD anti-glare display. This Mi Notebook 14 is still quite modern and attractive. It has a metal body with an anodized sandblasted exterior and the same logo-free lid that is super attractive. The overall look of the model and its design is very nice and catchy. It is an all-metallic design layered with premium looks and better durability.  The narrow bezels, in addition to that, ensure that you have an immersive viewing experience every single time. Due to the metallic body, the notebook looks very sturdy and the entire body including the display backplate doesn’t bend when pressed. There is a combination of four air vents placed on the backside of the laptop while the speaker grills are placed near the bottom edge of either side.  It weighs up to 1.5 kg and has a thickness of 17.95. Additionally, you’ll also get a built-in 720p webcam.

There is a webcam but no secondary camera rear-facing view. The video recording resolution is up to 720p HD. There are built-in dual speakers with DTS Audio. There is a built-in microphone. The camera offers 178-degree wide view capture allowing you to hold a video call with up to three people on your side being in focus. The option to give a 720p camera is similar to the MacBooks of lower end and Xiaomi is trying to set its laptop series as a premium one.

The MI Notebook 14 gives the user the convenience of using the laptop in any position, even when reclining. Resuming from sleep sometimes took 10-15 seconds, but in general, using it was no trouble at all. You will be able to multitask with over a dozen browser tabs open, streaming video simultaneously with your laptop not missing even a beat. It comes with 8 GB RAM which is soldered to the motherboard and it cannot be removed or replaced with any other higher storage capacity.  It is, however, unfortunate that there is no additional slot to extend the RAM. Coming to the storage, the device comes with a 256GB Kingston SSD (237GB available) which can be replaced in case you need more storage. It is disappointing that the laptop comes with only one storage slot. In case you want to extend the existing 256GB SSD, it will have to be replaced with a higher capacity M.2 SSD.

The laptop comes with the same 14-inch full HD anti-glare 16:9 display, the same as the one you find in the Mi Notebook 14 Core i5 variant. It has a viewing angle of 178Ëš and a screen-to-body ratio of 81.2%. The screen isn't very vibrant and the colours are somewhat muted. While Xiaomi's claim about viewing angles cannot be refuted, the screen's brightness will have to be turned up fairly high for this claim to be true. The anti-reflective finish is a very good addition though. The speakers aren't very loud, and the sound is unfortunately scratchy and tinny. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 is backed by a 46 watt-hours (3220mAh) Li-poly battery that comes with a 65W power adapter. Although Xiaomi claims about 10 hours of battery life on regular usage with a mix of daily productivity tasks, in reality, the laptop lasts for 6 hours at the most.

The Mi Notebook 14 comes with two 2W speakers for an immersive audio experience. These speakers, placed on either side of the bottom edge, form a stereo pair and provide decent output. The audio output is loud enough to enjoy the music in a small room, which is decent for a laptop. The audio module on the Mi Notebook is supported by the DTS audio processing app that allows you to fine-tune the music based on movies, television shows, or music.

Xiaomi Mi NoteBook 14 e-Learning Edition has a RAM capacity of 8 GB with DDR4 RAM type. The RAM speed is 2666 MHz and there is 1 memory slot. The memory layout is 1X8 Gigabyte.
