Motorola Moto G42 has a height of about 15.3cm and a width of about 7.6cm. It has quite a sleek body, which is just 0.980cm thick and only weighs about 175g. Motorola Moto G42 features a 6.4 inches screen with a good resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It even has an AMOLED display.The smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which prevents any sort of physical damage. The Moto G42 comes in "Metallic Rosé" and "Atlantic Green" color options and is attractive because of its high build quality and softly shiny plastic surfaces. 

Motorola Moto G42 houses a processor of Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G, which gives a seamless performance. The Adreno 610 GPU improvises the performance and delivers an enhanced experience. The phone comes with 4GB RAM and storage capacity can either be 64GB or 128GB. As far as sensors are concerned the phone is equipped with a Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted), accelerometer sensor, gyro sensor, proximity sensor, and compass sensor. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi Direct, a hotspot, and Bluetooth 5.0 The Moto G42 offers a 3.5 mm audio jack for wired headsets and speakers.Motorola Moto G42 operates on Android 12, which is planning to be upgraded to Android 13. Its location technology includes GPS,  A-GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO satellite navigation.

The Motorola Moto G42 has a 50 MP primary camera (f/1.8) with autofocus, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera (f/2.2), and a 2 MP macro camera. Even at this price range, the extreme wide-angle camera provides above-average image quality and can record a surprising number of details. The overall outcome is clearly decent, despite the fact that image edges rapidly become noisy and hazy.The 50 MP primary camera's daytime photos are especially striking. The visual clarity is adequate, the dynamic range is decent, and the colors appear natural. The primary camera doesn't do well in low-light situations, but the optional Night Mode can bring out even more details in the subjects.

Motorola Moto G42 has a massive Li-Po 5000mAh battery. The battery is non-removable. It supports fast charging  Moto G42 and can only be charged with a maximum of 18 watts.
