OnePlus Nord

In terms of design and structure, this model doesn’t have anything new or surprising for the users. The handset weighs alright and has a premium quality touch screen with a 6.44 inches size. Its compact structure makes the grip sufficiently convenient and balanced. Gray Onyx and Blue Marble are the two prominent colour variants for this model and they both are fascinating.

The entire device is protected by a gorilla glass 5 body including both front and back which is a plus point in terms of the framing structure. Although, OnePlus Nord doesn’t have any metallic portion in the device, and the corner areas are made with plastic. There are no specifications for water or dust resistance, but the shiny colour options make the device look good in its hands.

If you have already used or seen the OnePlus 8, then there is nothing new in the display for you. It offers an AMOLED display with a striking resolution of 2400 X 1080 pixels and 408 ppi pixel density which is reasonable at this price range. The length of the device might seem like an issue, but the aspect ratio of 20:9 balances the dimensions.

When it comes to camera arrangements, it’s almost impossible to find competition for OnePlus series smartphones. That’s the case with the OnePlus Nord as it comes with a setup of six cameras. With 2 cameras in the front and 4 in the back, the 48 MP capture quality is accompanied by an IMX586 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, and dual-LED flash. Other than this, the device has 3 secondary sensors of 2MP, 5 MP, and 8 MP, respectively.

It has a (CAF + PDAF) multi autofocus prompting a high-quality video recording of 4k at 30 fps with time-lapse and slow-motion effects. While the camera is a state-of-the-art development, the device doesn’t support external mics for recording videos.

Camera quality wouldn’t disappoint you especially if you are using a device from this series for the first time. Primary camera quality is immensely impressive whereas secondary camera may lack the same scale of clarity and performance. It clicks great pictures in normal mode, but the wide-angle shot deduces the colour impact and detailing.

The device runs on OxygenOS 10.5, and therefore the performance is relatively better than previous models. Qualcomm snapdragon 765G processor and Adreno 620 GPU explain the seamless navigation while the 5G quality boosts its prominence in terms of upgrades.

The device has three storage options with varying RAM capacities and price ranges – 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB internal memory. Apart from this, finger-print scanners and face unlock are already there for security purposes. the handset can get heated during prolonged use, but it wouldn’t be stuck or slow down while navigating multiple features or tasks on the smartphone.
