Xiaomi Redmi Note 8

Redmi Note 8 brings an attractive design with a plastic frame that looks premium. Both front and rear parts of the Redmi Note 8 are protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This smartphone comes in four amazing colours: Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, Space Black, and Nebula Purple.

At the front of the Redmi Note 8, you get a 6.3"; IPS LCD panel with a notch for the front camera. On the left, there is a triple card slot with an independent micro SD tray. On the top, there is an IR blaster. The bottom of this device comes with the audio jack, speaker, and USB-C port.

On the backside, you get a beautiful gradient design, a top to bottom quad-camera setup on the left side with a LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner with a small touch-sensitive area.

The primary rear camera of the Redmi Note 8 is a 48-megapixel Isocell Bright GM2 camera with a Samsung sensor. The lens of this camera has an f/1.8 aperture and a 1/2.25” sensor with 0.8µm pixels. 

Apart from the primary 48 MP camera, you get an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor camera.

The smartphone comes with a 13 megapixel f/2.0 front camera with HDR and portrait mode and multiple beautifications enhancement features. 

The highest video recording resolution on Redmi Note 8 is 4k @30fps, and you can also record 1080 @30fps. There is a slow-mo video recording feature available with 1080p @120fps and a 96Kbps bitrate stereo audio recorder. 

Redmi Note 8 comes with a 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery. The battery life is decent enough for everyday usage. Even after watching videos, playing games, and clicking pictures for hours, you will not run out of battery at the end of the day. 

Considering the Redmi Note 8 price, the battery life is awe-inspiring. In the box, you also get an 18W charger that charges the device from zero to 100 per cent in about 80-90 minutes. 

The Redmi Note 8 screen gets a similar front notch, display resolution, and Gorilla Glass 5 as the Redmi Note 8 pro. However, the display size of the Redmi Note 8 is a bit smaller than the Redmi Note 8 pro.

In this smartphone, you get a Full HD+ screen that is bright and sharp to provide you with a good video watching and UI experience. Behind the Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the screen, you get a 6.3” IPS LCD panel with 1080p resolution. 

The Redmi Note 8 comes with two variants—the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and the other variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both the variants are strong enough for Redmi Note 8 competitors in this segment. 

This smartphone was released with the MIUI 10 ROM based on the Android v9 Pie operating system, and the Snapdragon 665 chipset powers it. It comes with the octa-core processor (2 GHz, quad-core, Kryo 260 + 1.8 GHz, quad-core, Kryo 260).
