The A12 is equipped with a 6.5-inch display with a 720 resolution. It also has a waterdrop notch display. The phone does offer multitouch with 270 PPI. It weighs around 205g which is quite heavy compared to most models in the market today. Although the phone is quite thin with 164 x 75.8 x 8.9 dimensions it is still heavy to carry around. Samsung mostly used plastic for this phone. the split to one three is pleasing to the eye but has no use. The fingerprint sensor is on the right. Then there is the volume and the power button on the sides. It comes with USB – c port and 3.5mm headphone jack and loudspeaker.

Samsung Galaxy A12 has a 6.5 inches large display which enhances the viewing experience of your TV shows and movies. It has got an HD display with 720x1600 pixels resolution. While other brands such as Redmi and Realme are offering even Full HD displays at lower prices Samsung Galaxy A12 doesn't impress from the display aspect at this price point. The colours and contrast come nicely but if you observe the screen closely, you'll notice some grains.

The A12 runs on Android 10 with Samsung’s one Ui 2.5 on top. It’s a disadvantage with not having the android 11 but chances are the new updated will eventually bring forth the android 11. Inside the A12 in the MediaTek helio P35 chipset. Its octa-core CPU has a cortex A53 core with 2.35Ghz which is better than snapdragon 450. The Galaxy A12 comes in several RAM/storage – 3GB/32GB up till 6GB/128GB. With the finger sensor on screen – you can risk triggering the sensor by any skin contact. You can choose the face lock configuration but it does not have 3D face scanning but is convenient. The UI fundamentals are the same as any other Samsung phone.

The A12 is powered by a 5000 mAh battery of ample capacity. The phone offers an excellent battery life. Another advantage is the adaptive fast charging unit that Samsung chargers are known for. The phone comes with a 15W charger, with a non-removable battery.

The Galaxy A12 has four cameras on the rear with the typical 2+2 arrangement.  The camera has a 48MP sensor with a tetra cell colour filler array. The default resolution is 12MP with the lens having a 25mm equivalent focal length. In the ultra-wide-angle is the 5MP sensor with the lens covering a 123-degree view. The other two cameras have 2MP sensors that are used for closeups and depth data. For the selfie camera, there is an 8MP notch in the display. A new addition is the pro mode which lets you pick ISO and white balance. In low light, the colour saturation is decent and narrow on the main cam. Samsung Galaxy A12 has a fingerprint sensor inbuilt in the power button which responds nicely and opens up the device fast. This adds an extra layer of security to all your data. It runs on Android 10 and has a One UI 2.5 interface. However, Android 11 is the latest standard in the market right now and we hope it arrives soon on the device. One UI interface works very smoothly and is easy to use. You can uninstall a few unnecessary pre-installed apps.
