The Vivo NEX flaunts a 6.59-inches display. The color Super AMOLED screen operates on a resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels that offers a decent viewing experience with streaming and offline video playback. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 19.3:9 and has a pixel density of 388 PPI.  In terms of design, the smartphones has a dimension of 77 x 162 x 7.9 mm and has a weight of 199g. The smartphone is available in two colors; Black and Red. 

This Vivo NEX comes with the 10nm Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset.  This octa-core processor is an entry-level chipset that has up to 2.8 GHz clock speed. This budget Vivo phone has 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB internal storage options that gives the user more storage space for downloads and multitasking. The Vivo NEX operates on the Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1(Oreo) which is upgradable to Android 9. (Pie). In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C 2.0, GPS and OTG. With regards to the sensors, the NEX comprises a fingerprint under display, gyro, accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The navigational and satellite support is offered by GPS, GNSS and BDS.

The selfie snapper is a decent performer in daylight and low-light .This smartphone sports a dual rear camera module including a 12MP primary camera that has an f/1.8 aperture. The main camera gets a 5MP secondary sensor support that has an f/2.4 aperture. The camera hardware is suitable for general photography. The back camera features Slow Motion, Backlight HDR, Live Photo, Portrait Bokeh (dual cameras), Panorama, Time Lapse, Face Beauty, AR Stickers, Filters. The Vivo NEX is equipped with 4000mAh battery capacity and comes with with 22.5W fast charging technology. The big battery size allows for a longer backup with typical usage. On the other hand, the fast charging speeds help with quick battery refuelling when required.
