Xiaomi has done everything in its might to make this mid-budget option of the Mi 11 family, the Xiaomi Mi 11X a successful offer. The Xiaomi Mi 11X boasts of a top gen SoC, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. It is a slight upgrade on the 865 but the performance enhancement is phenomenal. The 870 SoC is clearly to lure all the gamers towards the Xiaomi Mi 11X but even daily users of the phone will be impressed to have a powerful Soc to take care of their day-to-day tasks. The Xiaomi Mi 11X handles like a beauty while playing AAA games and daily usage like social media browsing is a seamless experience.

Along with a powerful Soc, the Xiaomi Mi 11X comes in two variants with 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. The RAM used is LPPDDR5 and clearly, Xiaomi knows what is doing while designing the Xiaomi Mi 11X for blissful performance. This combination along with the octa-core Snapdragon 870 offers speeds of up to 3.2 GHz and is paired with an Adreno 650 GPU for graphics duty.

The Xiaomi Mi 11X has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen which is pretty obviously designed to offer an immersive experience for gaming and watching movies. It has a full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and an HDR10+ rating with 1300 nits of brightness. The screen has a pixel density of 395 pixels per inch and a 20:9 screen ratio.

But the icing on the cake is the 120 Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi Mi 11X boasts of a 120 Hz refresh and also has AI support for making slow frame videos seem fluid. Color reproduction is brilliant and vibrant. Though there is a 120 Hz refresh rate but even top games are limited to 90 Hz and are not able to leverage the full force of the refresh rate.

The Xiaomi Mi 11X is a bit disappointing when it comes to the battery segment. The Mi 11X packs a 4520 mAh battery which is smaller compared to its competitors in the market. The good news for the gamers is that the Xiaomi Mi 11X promises a minimum of 11 hours of gaming. But the makers at Xiaomi went a step further and just added to the features of the Xiaomi Mi 11X with a 33W fast charger. Xiaomi boasts of a very robust charging performance and guarantees that the Xiaomi Mi 11X will reach full charge in under one hour. You will have to see it to believe it but it is true. The only drawback to this super-fast charging is the heating issues. The Xiaomi Mi 11X gets really hot when it is charging and users are to be cautious. Nevertheless, normal usage of the phone along with casual gaming and watching videos will not stop the phone from being present for the entire day.

Xiaomi was not looking to invest too much into the camera setup in the Xiaomi Mi 11X. You get an average triple camera setup with a little amount of flare. A 48 MP main snapper with a Sony IMX582 sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5 MP “telemacro” camera lens with up to 2X zoom. The daylight photos captured by the Xiaomi Mi 11X are very good in terms of the details but lack a bit of saturation in terms of colour making the images a little less popping. The ultra-wide lens does a  decent job at capturing wide-angle photos but there is a slight edge distortion to the images. The night light photography is below average without the night mode on. The night mode enhances the details captured and makes the photo seem decent but below the qualities offered by the competitors. The front camera is a 20 MP primary lens situated right in the centre of the huge screen but gets a little annoying when you want to make touches in a game.

The Xiaomi Mi 11X has a modest design and does not try to imitate the flair offered by its competitors. It is designed for performance and as such looks were secondary while designing the phone. You get a very glossy glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear and front. You also get an IP53 splash protection rating. There is a stereo grill at the bottom with Dolby Atmos and the trademark IR blaster on the top. There is the power button on the left side with an integrated fingerprint sensor and volume buttons on top. The only design issue that the Xiaomi Mi 11X faces is the reflective ring around the front camera which is very distractive.
