Tecno has announced its plans to introduce its upcoming flagship smartphone. The device will come as the successor to the Tecno Phantom X phone which was released in 2021. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC will power the Phantom X2 series, which Techno has also announced would launch in December, as opposed to its predecessor, the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset.
Tecno Phantom X2 Series: Launch Date
Tecno announced the release of the Phantom X2 phone during the November 22 webinar, ‘The Push Towards Premium: Changing Smartphone Preferences and the Technology Behind Them.’ The upcoming Tecno smartphone is scheduled to go on sale worldwide on December 7.

Two smartphone models are anticipated to be part of the Tecno Phantom X2 series: the Tecno Phantom X2 (basic model) and the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro (top model). The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC is confirmed to power the two smartphones, and the company’s 4K Eagle Eye lens will be installed at the rear as part of the phone’s overall camera system.
Its predecessor, the Tecno Phantom X smartphone, features a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display. We would like to see if the upcoming phone will feature a curved or flat-edged display. The back of both phones is said to contain a triple camera module.
The Phantom X2 series of smartphones are expected to support Bluetooth 5.3, 5G connectivity, and NFC for connectivity. Both smartphones are anticipated to feature a 5,040mAh battery with 45W fast charging technology.
