Lexus Auto Expo 2023 Roundup: New Electric SUV, Refreshed RX To Be Showcased

The fifth-generation RX SUV will be on display by Lexus at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023, the company has revealed. Since its production since 1998, the RX series is a significant badge in the Lexus lineup. After almost three-year of wait, the next Auto Expo will take place, bringing together automakers from the global markets to showcase the most recent developments in the automobile sector.

Exterior modifications to the 2023 Lexus RX

A new 14-inch touchscreen that is neatly integrated into the center console of the Lexus RX that is being showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. It serves as the focal point for = most in-car functions and has been added to the interior design of the upcoming Lexus SUV. The driver side also gets a digital display in the instrument binnacle giving the overall cabin a noticeably clean and premium appeal.

Space inside the cabin is likely to be increased with the wheelbase being 60mm longer than in the previous-gen model. The new RX will possibly be available with powerful hybrid, gasoline, and plug-in hybrid engine options globally.

The non-hybrid Lexus RX 350 will come with a turbocharged gasoline engine, whereas the hybrid RX 350h will combine a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor. The top-of-the-line RX500h the first Lexus to provide a turbo-petrol engine that works in conjunction with electric motors, and a brand-new RX450h+ plug-in hybrid is now readily accessible.

Modernised LC500h Coupe

Modest aesthetic improvements to the revised LC500h coupe have been added including a slightly modified front grille along with some tweaks to the interior decor and upholstery. It will still be available with the same 359 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 hybrid powerplant (rumored). The 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that powers the LC500 will likely drive the convertible version of the vehicle. However, neither of these will be on the India lineup, as suggested by the online reports.

Price

When compared to the current SUV, which costs Rs. 1.11 crore, the fifth-generation SUV should be more expensive, but if slightly altered specs are integrated, there could be slight variants on the pricing too.
