Bajaj got back in the electric scooter segment by reviving its legendary Chetak scooter. However, we got an electric variant of the company’s iconic two-wheeler scooter this time. The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is released for budget consumers in the country with features such as multiple riding modes and a 90 km per charge range starting at Rs. 1.27 lakh (ex showroom). Now, Bajaj is apparently gearing up to expand its portfolio in the EV space with the launch of a new electric scooter codenamed Blade. Bajaj Blade EV Expected Specs, Powertrain
As per a new report by Rushlane, Bajaj is working on a new electric scooter that might see the light of the day anytime soon. The report suggests that Bajaj has already applied for the “Blade” name patent for its next electric scooter. While there is no confirmation from the brand just yet, we are expecting some developments to be confirmed in the coming days.
Nevertheless, the report suggests that the Blade EV will offer a better riding range compared to the current-generation Bajaj Chetak Premium electric scooter. Thanks to the online leaks, the powertrain and some of the other features of the Bajaj Blade electric scooter are known. The pricing tipped for the Bajaj Blade EV is around Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Bajaj Blade electric scooter is said to be packed with a 50.4 V/ 60.4 Ah battery pack. This will possibly get an IPX rated certification for added weather protection. Furthermore, the Bajaj Blade EV is likely going to offer around 75 km/h top speed. As of now, the acceleration speeds aren’t revealed.

The Blade EV is said to offer an increased IDR range compared to the Chetak Premium EV. The new-generation model is said to offer around 100 km per charge range as opposed to the 90 km per charge range delivered by the Chetak premium electric scooter.
Unfortunately, other details such as peak torque and peak power capacity are also kept under wraps as of now. For braking, the Blade EV will use disc brakes both up front and rear. We can also expect multiple riding modes similar to the Chetak Premium electric scooter along with a reverse parking riding assist. The Bajaj Blade electric scooter is also rumored to offer premium features such as mobile connect and remot ignition.
