Realme is set to launch bring a new flagship gaming phone in India and the global markets soon. The upcoming handset will be joining the GT smartphone lineup and is called the Realme GT 5. With this new model, Realme is setting up a new standard in the gaming phone industry and bringing a phone with a whopping 24GB RAM option.

Realme GT 5 Official Launch Date

The Realme GT 5 will be launched on August 28 in China. The brand has teased the official launch date for its new-generation gaming handset via the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The device will be introduced in China first and then will be launched in the global regions including India The launch event for the flagship gaming Android phone is set to begin at 2:00 PM in China.

Xu Qi Chase, President, Realme China, has already teased the key features of the Realme GT 5 including the chipset and RAM capacity. Additionally, the handset has also been spotted at the benchmark website Geekbench ahead of its official launch which confirms the preformance hardware previously teased by the brand. That said, the Realme GT 5 will be launched with the Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile chipset, i.e., the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

That’s not it, this handset will also feature a 24GB LPDDR5X RAM which combined with the premium Qualcomm processor will allow it to deliver a speedy performance even with the most extensive apps and games. The Realme GT 5 has been listed on the Geekbench website with the Realme RMX 3820 model number. In addition to the chipset and RAM configuration, the Realme GT 5’s Geekbench listing has also revealed the benchmark scores.

In the single-core test on Geekbench, the Realme GT 5 has has logged 2017 points. Whereas, in the multi-core test, it has scores 5408 points. The benchmark listing of the Realme GT 5 has also confirmed Android 13 OS which would be topped by a custom Realme UI interface. The handset could come with a 6.74-inch OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate. We will share the spec-sheet of the Realme GT 5 once revealed via the official teasers or leaks.
