Design
It features a complete plastic construction; it would have been better if it had a metal build. However, I’ve noticed a benefit to the plastic build after using it throughout the day – it’s remarkably lightweight. One aspect I really appreciate about this watch is its lightweight design. It’s extremely comfortable to wear due to its lightweight nature. Many other smartwatches tend to be a bit heavier and have sharp edges, making them uncomfortable to wear all day. However, this one has an ideal weight that makes it very comfortable to wear.
Display
The display is quite large. Here you have a 1.96-inch HD IPS display. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz, a brightness of 550 nits, and features a 2.5D curved screen as well as an anti-fingerprint coating. One thing that’s definitely important is outdoor visibility. It boasts a brightness of 550 nits, and I’ve used it at full brightness during the day. At night, you can use it at 50% brightness, and even during the day, it remains quite visible at 50% brightness. There’s no issue; you can easily use it under direct sunlight. So, I’d say that outdoors, even at 50-60% brightness, you can comfortably use it.
I found the touch response of this device to be quite impressive. Additionally, all types of toggles are conveniently located at the top, similar to what we find on smartphones. So, without a doubt, in terms of touch response, this watch is excellent. Considering its price point, they have delivered a very high-quality display. Overall, you can expect a highly satisfying experience with this product.
Features & Performance
Let’s first take a look at the user interface. Upon pressing and holding, you’re presented with numerous watch faces. While there are some pre-installed watch faces, you can also download your favorites. Overall, when I consider the user interface, it appears to be quite impressive. It’s remarkably user-friendly, and the menu can be easily customized to your preferences. They’ve provided various menu styles, allowing you to tailor it according to your liking.
Here, there’s an abundant array of activity-tracking options. So, if you’re even slightly interested in health and fitness, this watch enables you to track various activities. Personally, I’ve tracked my walking, and it worked perfectly.
In terms of outdoor activities, you’ll find designated sports modes. Starting with the most popular, followed by athletics, martial arts, and many more. Under the “Popular” section, you’ll find options like walking, cycling, running, and much more. There’s a wide range of activity modes available here. You’ll also notice that animations change on the side. Overall, the presentation is really nice. If you’re quite active or engage in workouts frequently, this smartwatch will assist you in measuring various metrics.

One thing that stood out to me is its “Utilities”. Within it, you have a stopwatch, timer, calculator, flashlight, alarm clocks, and many more – essentially a variety of tools you typically find on a smartphone. So, essentially, smartwatches aren’t just used for time or health; sometimes they prove useful for various other tasks. Here, you’ll find all these features.
The calling feature here is quite impressive. They’ve Bluetooth 5.3 technology and a single-chip calling system. You can save up to 16 call contacts on this smartwatch. Typically, in this budget range, most smartwatches offer only 4 to 6 slots. However, here you can store up to 16 contacts.
You’ll find two built-in games here. I even played “Car Crash” on it, which I enjoyed for a while. Sometimes, during metro travel, we get a bit bored and can’t use our phones. Games like these can be really helpful in such situations.
Lastly, it has an IP68 rating, making it dust and water-resistant. If you want to use it outdoors or in light rain, not heavy rain, a bit of water won’t be a problem at all.
App Connect
Let’s talk about the app. Here, you’ll need the Wings Active app. To download:
- Scan the QR code provided in the Smartwatch user manual or on the packaging box to download the Wings Active App from the Play Store or the App Store on your smartphone.
- Open the app on your smartphone, ensuring that your smartphone’s Bluetooth is enabled and within the smartwatch’s range.
- Navigate to the “Devices” section and tap on “Add a Device.”
- Choose “Wings Prime” from the list of available devices on your smartphone’s screen.
Once completed, the smartwatch will be successfully connected to your device. No login is necessary. First and foremost, you’ll see your activities displayed on a weekly or monthly basis. You can perform exercises if you wish. The app even has GPS functionality, which can be used for tracking. It easily connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Features like reminders for hydration, sedentary behavior, menstrual cycles, and stress monitoring are all available. The app is user-friendly and simple to navigate. Moreover, the overall connectivity appears to be quite stable and hassle-free.
Verdict
The Wings Prime Smartwatch offers an impressive budget-friendly option with a wide-ranging feature set. Despite its plastic build, the lightweight design ensures comfort during long wear. The large 1.96-inch HD IPS display, boasting 550 nits brightness, remains visible even outdoors. Touch response and user interface are great, with a variety of customizable watch faces and menu styles. In conclusion, the Wings Prime Smartwatch offers a convincing package, combining affordability and functionality for potential buyers.
