MediaTek has been consistently refreshing its Dimensity mobile chipset series with new SoCs. Earlier this year, the company launched Dimensity 7200 SoC for premium mid-tier 5G Android devices. Now, its successor has also been introduced in the market. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is the newest entrant which happens to be the first ever mobile chipset in this segment fabricated using a thin 4nm TSMC process. MediaTek has silently unveiled the Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset as a successor to the standard Dimensty 7200 SoC in its home country China. This new processor is yet to make its debut in the global market which we assume could take place in the coming months. Moving ahead, the Dimensity 7200 Ultra is also an octa-core 5G processor similar to its precursor but is the first ever mobile chipset from MediaTek which is constructed using a thin 4nm TSMC process.
The Dimensity 7200 Ultra’s octa-core CPU cluster includes dual Cortex A715 cores clocking at 2.8Ghz and hexa Cortex 510 cores with a 2GHz clock speed. The new premium Dimensity 7000 series chipset gets Mali-G610 GPU to handle graphics delivery. In the memory department, the Dimensity 7200 Ultra features support for LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM.

The maximum memory frequency offered is 6400MHz. Similar to other premium MediaTek Dimensity processors, this one also gets HyperEngine 5.0 gaming tech for extensive gaming. MediaTek has integrated the 5th-generation APU 650 AI processing unit inside the Dimensity 7200 Ultra. It additionally supports 14-bit HDR image processing with the Imagiq 765 ISP.
Multimedia aspects include support for FHD+ display resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The Dimensity 7200 Ultra mobile chipset can record up to 4K videos at 30fps. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset offers dual band 5G support which will allow superior network connectivity and fast internet speeds.

MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra Powered Phones Upcoming
One of the first Android smartphones to use the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is rumored to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro series. Tipster Mukul Sharma has shared a post on X (Twitter) which hints the upcoming Redmi Note 13 to debut with the newly launched Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor. The next premium mid-tier Xiaomi Redmi Note series phone is also rumored to pack a 200MP Samsung HP3 main camera and 120W fast charging. Separately, Xiaomi has also confirmed the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ model in works with the Dimensity 7200 mobile chipset which possibly is getting released later this month.
