Realme GT 2 Pro BIS Certification Hints Imminent India Launch

Realme recently took the wraps off its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-backed flagship Android smartphone series called the GT 2. The vanilla Realme GT 2 Pro was accompanied by the GT 2 Pro in China during the official launch event. The latter is apparently coming to the Indian market sometime soon. Following is what all the rumor mill suggests:

Realme GT 2 Pro Coming To India Soon?

The Realme GT 2 Pro has just cleared its certification via BIS (Bureau Of Indian Standards). The listing has been spotted by 91Mobiles. The certification website has only listed the GT 2 Pro’s model number, i.e, RMX3301. Apart from this, no other detail has been shared. Also, it is not still clear if both Realme GT 2 Pro and the Realme GT will be announced simultaneously in the country or the former will arrive first in the country.

Nevertheless, the exact Realme GT 2 Pro’s launch timeline would be hard to anticipate just yet. But looking at the developments, specifically with the BIS certification, it can be expected in the coming few months.

Realme GT 2 Pro India Specifications, Features

The Realme GT 2 Pro is a high-end phone which is packed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The handset has been announced in Chine with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB LPDDR5 RAM. We can expect the same RAM and storage configurations in the country as well. The software would also be the same as the global model, i.e, Android 12 OS topped with Realme UI 3.0 interface.

The Realme GT 2 Pro’s display and other features in India would also be identical to the international model. There are sleek chances this handset arrives with any India-centric feature. Speaking of which, we can expect the device to ship with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with WQHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will sport a punch-hole cutout which will house a 32MP camera for selfies.

If we speak of the GT 2 Pro’s primary camera hardware at the rear, the device will arrive with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP sensor. The unit will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. The battery packed inside the GT 2 Pro is a 5,000 mAh unit along with 65W fast charging technology.
