Honda Activa Electric India Launch Date
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd., CEO, Tsutsumu Otani has revealed that the company is gearing up for its first electric scooter launch in India soon. The company has been dominating the two wheeler segment with the Activa scooter. The electric version of the Activa has been in rumors for almost two year now. Finally, the most anticipated Honda electric scooter is making its debut in March 2025 in India as confirmed by the company’s CEO.
The launch of the Activa electric had been delayed for almost one year. But seems like Honda has finally laid out the roadmap and will be kicking off its electric two wheeler innings with the Activa EV starting next year. But there are still some speculations indicating a different moniker for the first electric two wheeler from Honda instead of the Activa EV. While there is no confirmation on the same from the brand, we would come across the developments in the next few months.
New EV Platform For Honda E2Ws
Honda will be using a whole new platform to drive its upcoming electric scooter. It was earlier suggested that Honda could implement a conversion kit to transform the existing Activa ICE to EV. However, the brand is working on a new born-electric platform which is said to be both lightweight and performance-oriented for higher range delivery.
