India’s electric two wheeler market has just got a new entrant. Italy’s VLF E2W manufacturer has unveiled its first urban commuter electric scooter, the Tennis. A new rival taking on Ather and Ola comes equipped with a hub motor, projector LEDs, and more under Rs. 1.50 lakh.

VLF Tennis electric scooter brings a combination of modern and conventional electric scooter design. It is a lightweight ride weighing at just 88 kgs with the entire scooter’s profile sitting on 12-inch wheels. It features a well-cushioned single-piece seat which has a height of 780 mm.

The mechanics including suspension and brakes are handled by telescopic fork and a cantilevered monoshock suspension system and disc brakes both upfront and rear. Moving to the underpinnings, a 1.5 kW hub electric motor powers this e-scooter.

The motor is linked with a 2.5 kWh battery which produces 130 km range per charge. The battery pack will rake up to three hours for a full charge. The VLF Tennis e-scooter has three riding modes and a TFT display as additional features.

VLF Tennis electric scooter has debuted with Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex showroom) price tag in India. The e-scooter will be available in black, red, and white colors. Deliveries will be commencing starting November 25.
