Nothing is all in the headlines for its first Android smartphone called Nothing Phone (1). The company has been teasing the handset for the last few weeks and has already shared enough clues in terms of designs and specifications. All the recent leaks anticipated a July launch date for the Nothing Phone (1). Nothing has now finally put a rest to all the rumors by announcing the official launch date for its first-ever premium mid-range smartphone in the Indian market. Here are the details.
Nothing Phone (1) India Launch Date Officially Announced
After all the rumors and leaks, Nothing has now announced the official India launch date for the Nothing Phone (1). The device will be launched on July 12, 2022, in the country. The Carl Pei-led brand revealed the upcoming launch timeline for its premium mid-range phone via its official Twitter handle. Not just in India, but the Nothing Phone (1) is also making its debut in the global markets on the same date.
Nothing will be hosting a launch in London for its first Android smartphone. For the remaining regions, the launch event will be streamed live at the brand’s official social media handles including YouTube. In addition to the upcoming launch event, Nothing has also created a dedicated microsite for its upcoming Android smartphone at its official India website. The “Get Notified” tab is also up which interested users can click after submitting the email address to be aware of all the availability details. Just for reference, the Nothing Phone (1) launch event is scheduled to begin at 16:00 BST and 8.30 PM IST in India.
Nothing Phone (1): Quick Specification Recap
The Nothing Phone (1) has been spotted multiple times online and has also been teased officially. It will be featuring a unique transparent back with an aluminum frame wrapping. The company has also confirmed an FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel is said to measure 6.55-inches and could be packed with punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
Furthermore, the Nothing Phone (1) is rumored to launch with the new-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. We might see up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration and Android 12 OS with Nothing OS launcher on top.
The Nothing Phone (1) camera details are not clear at this point. However, the battery capacity tipped for the first Nothing-labelled smartphone is a 4,500 mAh battery unit which will be combined with fast wired and wireless charging technology.
