The Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen is now official in India. Amazon, a major online retailer, introduced its latest smart speaker in India. The Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen is the successor of the Amazon Echo Dot 4th Gen, which the company released in 2020. According to the manufacturer, the Amazon Echo Dot 5th generation has the best sound yet and promises to have clearer vocals and deeper bass. Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen Specifications
The new Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen resembles the fourth-generation device in appearance, though the former is lighter (304 grams). Users must connect the speaker to Wi-Fi and a power source to use it. The Alexa app for Android or iOS must also be paired with the speaker. The speaker is Wi-Fi dual-band compatible.
The new Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen has a larger driver size to provide louder sound output. Amazon has likewise removed the current-generation model’s 3.5mm audio port.

The most significant upgrade this year is the in-built temperature and motion sensors for ultrasonic devices, which enables users to create practical smart home routines with compatible devices. This allows users to “automatically switch on the room lights upon entering the room” and “automatically switch on the AC if the room gets too warm” respectively using the Amazon Echo Dot (5th-Gen).
Price & Availability
The Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation is priced at Rs. 5,499 and comes in blue, black, and white color options. As part of the introductory offer, Amazon is selling the Echo Dot 5th Gen for Rs. 4,999. The launch price offer is available only till March 4.
