Amazon Prime Lite is now being tested in India. Over the years, Amazon has adjusted the costs of its Prime membership and has continued to provide new monthly options. Prior to Amazon’s price increase in December 2021, the Prime subscription was also one of the most affordable options. The cost of an annual Amazon Prime subscription was increased to Rs. 1,499 and has stayed high ever since. However, Amazon is currently testing a less expensive option for India.

According to Onlytech, Amazon is testing a new “Prime Lite” plan in the country. The price is reduced to Rs. 999 with the annual subscription plan. You will save Rs. 500 compared to the standard plan which has a price tag of Rs. 1,000. However, users will have to put up with a handful of inconveniences in exchange for the lower pricing. Prime Lite offers unlimited free two-day and standard delivery but it doesn’t offer same-day or one-day delivery. Additionally, while using their ICICI credit card with Amazon Pay, Prime members might receive 5 percent cash back.

There is also Amazon Prime Video where users will see advertisements. Additionally, Prime Video only offers standard-definition content and the number of devices that may stream content concurrently is restricted to two. Naturally, you can also watch sports in real time.

Amazon Prime Membership For Free

Unfortunately, this package does not include free access to Prime services like Prime Music, Prime Gaming, Kindle books, or EMI.

Currently, this plan is still in beta testing, so only select Prime members in India can use this plan. After the beta is complete, Amazon may offer plans as a cheaper subscription option for Prime members who also want access to their Prime Video streaming service.
