Apple made some major announcements at the Wanderlust 2023 event. The Cupertino tech giant took the wraps off its highly anticipated iPhone 15 series. The brand has also updated its smart wearables portfolio with the launch of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. The latter comes as Apple’s most advanced and rugged outdoor smartwatch equipped with some top-tier features such as 2000 nits display, a new S9 SiP chip, Double tap Gesture support, and more.

Carbon Neutral Design
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 shares the same carbon neutral design aspect as the Watch Series 9. Besides, the Watch Ultra 2 comes as the most rugged Apple smartwatch which is suitable for outdoor usage. It is constructed using Alpine and Trail Loop bands that use 95 percent recycled titanium.

All-New S9 SiP Chip
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is packed with Apple’s latest S9 SiP chip designed specifically for premium smartwatches. It offers systemwide improvements and adds a new double tap gesture similar to the Watch Series 9. The Watch Ultra 2 additionally gets a new quad-core Neural Engine for a seamless and fast user experience.
Brighter Display, Modular Ultra Watch Face
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 also uses the same advanced display architecture as the Watch Series 9. The screen of the rugged Apple Watch Ultra new-gen model comes with 2000 nits peak brightness which is 50 percent brighter compared to the first-gen Apple Watch Ultra. The rotating Digital Crown on the Watch Ultra 2 can be used to adjust the display brightness. Apple has loaded the Watch Ultra 2 with Modular Ultra Watch face that shows real time data such as altitude, depth, and more. Users can customize the watch faces depending on the sports, outdoor activities, and water/ocean activities.

Dedicated Scuba Diving And Freediving App
Apple has made the Watch Ultra 2 an ideal rugged and feature-rich smart wearable for extreme sports such as water sports including scooba and freediving. Users can access these features with the updated Oceanic+ amd Huish Outdoors app.
