Apple concluded its much awaited Wanderlust 2023 event and introduced the new-generation iPhone 15 linup. Alongside the new iPhones, Apple also launched the Watch Series 9 and the Watch Ultra 2 with multiple upgraded features including a new S9 SiP chip, a brighter display, and watchOS 10. watchOS 10 Features That Make Watch Series 9, Watch Ultra 2 More Advanced
New Smart Stack And Redesigned UI
- Apple watchOS 10 brings along a redesigned UI and new app icons for both Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 models. It offers a neat and interactive UI for a rich and premium user experience.
- The latest watchOS also brings along a new Smart Stack feature which will show relevant widgets as per requirements.
New Watch Faces And Night Mode
- The watchOS 10 adds a variety of new watch faces. The new Modular Ultra face for Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 includes Snoopy, Palette, Solar Analog, and Nike Globe amongst others. Users can opt from the new watch faces to suit the occasion.
- With the new watchOS 10, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Watch Ultra 2 can use the integrated ambient light sensor to toggle on the Night Mode automatically in night or low light areas.
Daylight Time Spent Measurement
- Another useful feature which the watchOS 10 brings to the Watch Series 9 and the Watch Ultra 2 is the daylight activity measurement.
- This feature essentially measures the time spent by a user in daylight by using the embedded daylight sensor. Its functionality is to cut down on the risk of developing mypoia.

New Updated Topographic Maps And Compass App
- The watchOS 10 also adds new topographic apps which users will get to access via he Maps app. This new option will show users some of the crucial information which will include cellular Emergency SOS waypoints, elevation, contour lines, and hill shadings.
- Apple has also updated with Compass app with the watchOS 10 and now Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 users will get the option to see a real rime elevation and a 3D view of waypoints with relevant elevation measurements.
