Motorola has started introducing its latest G series smartphones in India. The Moto G31 is the latest model which has been in this series by the Lenovo-owned brand is the Moto G31. The rumor mill hints at at least three more models including the Moto G71, Moto G51, Moto G41, and the Moto G200. The company has now teased the next model (Moto G51) officially confirming an imminent launch.

Motorola via its official Twitter handle has teased the upcoming Moto G51 launch in India. The teaser poster shared on the microblogging website has revealed only the upcoming launch. No specific date is announced yet nor does the teaser reveal the key features. However, with the official teaser dropping on Twitter and it shouldn’t be long before this handset goes official in the country.

Whether the launch is scheduled for this month or in the first half of 2021 will be confirmed soon. That said, the features offered will be the same as the international model. It will be a mid-range 5G phone with some modern set of features. Following are the details:

Moto G51 5G: Specifications It Will Offer In India?

Just to recap, the Moto G51 5G is a fairly new entrant. It was initially announced back in November in China. The device uses the Snapdragon 480+ processor which also drives the recently launched Moto G31. The octa-core budget 5G processor by Qualcomm will be paired up with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in memory.

This handset will also have an expandable microSD card support like its siblings. Also, it offers a virtual RAM feature which will allow an additional 3GB RAM capacity. The firmware pre-loaded will be Android 11. The Moto G31’s other key features include a big 6.8-inch LCD display with 720p HD+ resolution and a triple camera setup at the rear.

The panel here supports a higher 120Hz refresh rate, while the camera setup at the rear sports a 50MP main sensor combined with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP sensor. The Moto G51 features a punch-hole camera cutout which is a storehouse for an 8MP sensor for selfies.

The Moto G51 will ship with Android 11 OS and will have a physical fingerprint integrated within the power key on the right panel. Rounding off its spec-sheet is a 5,000 mAh battery unit.

Vivo has been expanding its ‘V’ smartphone lineup across the globe. The V23e 5G is one of the latest models which has been introduced in Thailand. Now, the company is expected to bring this lineup to the Indian shores as well. The upcoming model tipped to launch is the Vivo V23 5G. Following is what all we can expect from the latest Vivo entrant:

Vivo V23 5G India Launch Imminent

The Vivo V23 5G is said to debut this month itself in India. 91Mobiles in association with tipster Yogesh Brar has shared this launch timeline for the next affordable 5G Vivo phone. The device will have upgraded hardware compared to its predecessor, i.e, the Vivo V21 5G. Also, the report suggests the company will be introducing the V23 Pro following the standard model.

However, there is no confirmation on the Pro model’s launch details as of now. That said, the exact date for the vanilla Vivo V23 5G’s lunch is also unspecified. Therefore, it remains to be seen if the company brings this new mid-range 5G smartphone by mid or later this month. We will keep you posted with the details of the upcoming launch.

As far as the hardware is concerned, the device might have a similar set of features as the Vivo V23e 5G which recently went official in Thailand. There might be slight differences in the hardware between both V23 5G and V23e 5G, but they’d be likely minimal. Until the brand starts dropping official teasers, it’d be hard to speculate what all changes we will get to see.

It has a punch-hole camera cutout which accommodates a 44MP camera for selfies and video calling. The selfie camera is one of the biggest highlights of the Vivo “V” which we expect to be present on the upcoming vanilla V23e 5G.

The Vivo V23e 5G has three cameras at the back where the primary sensor is a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The main camera is coupled with an 8MP wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. In terms of connectivity, the vanilla Vivo V23 5G might offer same features as the V23e 5G. We will see dual SIM support, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and GPS.

The additional set of features here are Android 11 OS topped with a FunTouch OS 12 interface and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset will have a 44W fast charging support and a 4.050 mAh battery unit.

OnePlus is rumored to launch the OnePlus 9RT in India. Several leaks have suggested the brand will be rebranding this handset as the OnePlus RT in the country. The OnePlus 9RT will be available as low as Rs. 34,999 in India. A report via The Mobile Indian has shared the pricing details of the upcoming OnePlus premium mid-range handset. The publication has received this information from unnamed industry sources. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is said to carry the aforementioned price tag.

The OnePlus 9RT is also said to come with an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration which as per the publication will be priced at Rs. 37,999. The prices are similar to the Chinese variant. It is worth mentioning the OnePlus 9RT also has a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. However, this report hasn’t hinted at the prices of the top-end variant.

The rumors do suggest a sub Rs. 45,000 price tag. However, the specific digits would only be clear once the device goes official. The launch timeline is also yet to be announced by the company. Poco M3 Goes Up In Flames In India; What Is The Case?

Even with the modernizations in the technology space, there isn’t any respite from smartphone blast incidents across the globe. India has also seen several such mobile explosion cases in the last few years. This year, the OnePlus Nord 2 going up in flames multiple times grabbed all the headlines. It hasn’t been long since we came across one such incident and the history seems to be repeating. This time, it’s a Poco handset whose explosion has left the victim injured. Here’s what happened:

Poco M3 Blast Case: What Happened?

The latest mobile blast incident has been highlighted by a Twitter user called @Mahesh08716488. According to Mahesh, the Poco M3 which his brother was using caught fire before exploding. The tweet shared by the user only confirms the blast incident and doesn’t reveal if there were any injuries to the victim.

Mahesh had also shared the images of the burnt Poco M3 unit. The device can be seen with an entirely wrecked bottom panel. The lower half of the device’s back panel loudly speaks for the blast intensity. Only the portion housing the rear camera module seems less affected by the explosion.

What Does Poco Say On This Matter?

Poco had acknowledged the issue as soon as it was reported by the user on Twitter. Notably, at the time of writing, both the tweet by Mahesh as well as the reply by Poco were deleted. The company had replied to the user stating a users’ safety is the company’s priority and such incidents are taken seriously.

The company had also assured investigations on the matter and what really caused the Poco M3 to go up in flames. In an official statement later, the company said “At Poco India, customer safety is of utmost importance and we take such matters extremely seriously. At this stage, our team contacted the customer as soon as the issue was notified and is awaiting his visit to the nearest service center”.

The brand further said, “ We are committed to examine the issue in detail, and extend all our support to the customer and resolve this on priority. All our devices go through various levels of stringent quality tests to ensure that the quality of the device is not compromised at any levels.”

The Galaxy A13 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage capacity.

It is an Infinity-V LCD panel that features a waterdrop notch and offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The dot notch accommodates a 5MP camera for selfies and video calling.

The Galaxy A13 5G has three cameras at the back. The main sensor is a 50MP lens which is clubbed with a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth lens. The handset has been pre-loaded with Android 11 OS topped with a custom OneUI interface. For biometrics, this handset offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

As far as connectivity aspects are concerned, the Galaxy A13 5G offers dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, and sub-6Hz 5G network support. The handset uses a bug 5,000 mAH battery to keep the processor ticking. The battery gets 15W fast charging support as well.

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G has been announced at $249.99 (approx. Rs. 18,700) in the US. The company hasn’t confirmed by when it plans to bring this affordable 5G phone to India or other markets. The sales in the US begin starting December 3 via Samsung.com and AT&T. While there is still no confirmation for its global launch, an early 2022 timeline can’t be ruled out.

Vivo Y55 5G Gets Listed At Geekbench; Dimensity 700 SoC, Android 11 OS In Tow

Vivo has been most proactive with smartphones in its affordable “Y” series this year. This lineup has been received multiple 5G-enabled devices in recent times. The Vivo Y76 5G and the Vivo Y74s 5G are amongst the latest entrants in this budget-friendly Vivo smartphone series. But the brand isn’t stopping anytime soon as the upcoming “Y” series launches. We recently camera across TENAA listing confirming the Y32 and Y55s features. Now, the vanilla Vivo Y55 has been benchmarked indicating an upcoming launch.

Vanilla Vivo Y55 5G Also In Works

The Vivo Y55 5G has made a fresh sighting at the popular mobile benchmark website Geekbench. The device’s listing has been first spotted by Mysmartprice. The screenshot of the Vivo Y55 5G listing shared by the publication has revealed the key specifications along with the V2127 codename. This same model number was earlier listed on the IMEI website which hinted at an imminent India launch.

Now coming to the leaked spec-sheet, the benchmark website mentions the MediaTek ARM MT6833V/ZA chipset driving the Vivo Y55 5G. Notably, this processor is otherwise marketed as the Dimensity 700 SoC. It is an entry-level octa-core 5G processor by MediaTek that supports Mali G57 MC2 GPU to handle the graphics. Furthermore, this chipset features six Cortex A55 cores with a clock speed of 2.00GHz and two Cortex A76 cores clocking at up to 2.2GHz.

According to Geekbench, the upcoming Vivo Y55 5G will be launched with an 8GB RAM configuration. There is no confirmation just yet if there will be any other RAM variant arriving alongside the aforementioned model. Also, the storage capacity isn’t mentioned on Geekbench, but we might see 128GB onboard memory. Other details revealed by the Geekbench database include the Android 11 OS firmware which we believe would be topped with a custom FunTouch OS interface.

As far as the benchmark scores are concerned, the Vivo Y55 5G has managed to log 430 points in the single-core test. On the other hand, the device managed to achieve 1,438 points in the multi-core test. The Vivo Y55 5G’s arrival details are under the wraps as of now. But with all the latest developments, we can speculate its debut sometime in the first half of 2022.

The Poco M4 moniker is said to be for the markets including India.
