iPhone Running Slow? Here’s How to Clear Safari/ App Cache on iOS

Caches don’t take long to fill up on your smartphones; be it Android or iPhones. The iOS has two big data caches: one for Safari and another for all the rest the apps. Deleting these caches can free up space on your device, improving performance and speed.

While clearing the cache in Safari is simple and quick, deleting the cache in third-party apps can be more complicated. Here we’ll show you a step-by-step guide on how to clear the cache in Safari and other apps on iPhone.

Note: Make sure you know your passwords before clearing the cache on an iPhone for Safari or any other app. You will be signed out of any websites you are currently logged into after you clear the cache files.

How To Clear The Cache From Safari

Step 1: Open the Settings menuon your respective iPhones.

Step 2: Swipe down and tap on Safari.

Step 3: Scroll down and click on the Clear History and Website Data option.

Step 4: Your iPhone will ask if you want to clear Safari’s data. Confirm your choice.

Alternatively, you can also clear data from individual websites without clearing the whole Safari cache. The steps for the same are mentioned below:

Step 1: After performing the step 2 from above, you will get the option “Advanced”. Click on it.

Step 2: Now, select “Website Data”.

Step 3: You will now get the option “Edit” at the bottom of Safari settings (or swipe from right to left to delete individual items).

Besides, if you delete website data from your iPhone, it will be deleted from all of your other Apple devices that are signed in to the same iCloud account that syncs with Safari.

How To Clear Your iPhone’s App Cache

To clear the cache from your iPhone apps, you will need to offload them. This will free up the storage space the app uses while still keeping its data and documents. All your data will be recovered once you reinstall the app.

Step 1: Go to Settings and tap General and then click on iPhone Storage.

Step 2: Wait for the page to load a list of all your apps. Once the list is generated, tap the app you want to clear and select Offload App.

Step 3: If you want to delete the app along with the files and data, you need to select Delete App instead of Offload App.

Quick tip: When you open the list of all your apps, you may notice a menu called Offload Unused Apps. Selecting Enable here will allow your iPhone to automatically offload apps that you haven’t used in a while.

WhatsApp Users Can Now Share Bigger Files, Reactions, And More

Whatsapp has introduced three major new features to its users. In a blog post, the Meta-owned app announced three new features: the ability to send files up to 2GB in size, emoji reactions, and the option to add 512 individuals to a group.

WhtasApp users can now send bigger files

WhatsApp users will now be able to share files up to 2GB in size at a time, all of which will be protected by end-to-end encryption. This is an upsurge from the previous limit, which was 100MB. According to the Meta-owned app, the feature will be useful for collaborating among small businesses and school groups.

Emoji reactions are now available

The message reactions feature, which was announced last month by WhatsApp, is now rolling out to its users. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, made the announcement on Facebook. With this, users on iOS and Android will be able to respond to messages in the same way they can on Instagram.

Users can currently select from six emojis: thumbs up, red heart, laughing face, astonished face, teary face, and hands together in thanks/prayer. However, WhatsApp has stated that more emoticons and skin tones would be added in the near future.

WhatsApp also shares a few things about this new feature:

  • Each message can only have one reaction.
  • When the message disappears, reactions to disappearing messages will also disappear.
  • Reactions and reaction counts cannot be hidden.
  • Recipients may observe your reaction before you remove it or if removing wasn’t successful.
  • Users won’t be notified if removing a reaction was not successful.

Apart from emojis, a future update may also allow users to use stickers or GIFs in the instant messaging app. This new message reactions feature will appear just below a message in your WhatsApp chat.

Users can add more people to the group

The Meta-owned platform is “slowly rolling out the option” to add up to 512 individuals to a group. WhatsApp said that one of the top requests it consistently received is the option to add more people to a group chat. Acting upon the request, the instant messaging app is now rolling out the ability to add up to 512 people to a group.

Apart from this feature, the company has been testing a number of other features, including the ability to call up to 32 individuals, create a Community, and more.

Apple iPhone 14 Max Specifications Revealed

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max around September. A new report has now claimed that the iPhone 14 Max will include a 90 Hz display and 6 GB of RAM, both upgrades from the iPhone 13.

The leak information comes from a Twitter user @Shadow_Leak. According to the leak, the iPhone 14 Max will support Face ID. It will run on the A15 Bionic build on 5 nm TSMC process. Only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to employ the latest A16 Bionic processor.

In addition to this, @Shadow_Leak asserts that Apple will also pair the A15 Bionic with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. Besides, the iPhone 14 Max is said to come with dual 12 MP rear-facing cameras. Unfortunately, details on the front-facing cameras of the device are unknown.

Apple iPhone 14 Series Price

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $1099 (roughly Rs. 89,990) and $1199 (roughly Rs. 99,990), respectively, due to growing component costs and Apple’s drive to differentiate Pro and non-Pro iPhones. The tech giant is also likely to replace the iPhone 13 mini with a Max model, which would result in a $300 (roughly Rs. 25,000) price hike.

Apple iPhone 14 Series specifications

As per the rumors, the 2022 iPhone 14 series will comprise various enhancements over the Pro model, including a new design, a better camera, and more. To fit the new internals, the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are believed to have a taller profile and a better camera module.

On the back, the iPhone 14 Max will include a dual-camera system with a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The information about the front camera is yet unknown, although it will be housed within the iPhone 13-style notch.

The display will be upgraded as well. A 90 Hz high refresh rate OLED panel with a resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels will be used by Apple. This is significant given that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini still have a 60Hz display.

Both the iPhone 14 series Pro models would be equipped with a triple rear camera setup housing a 48MP wide, 12MP ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. The upcoming iPhone 14 series is expected to feature an 8K video.

Google Pixel Foldable Smartphone Display Details Leaked

The foldable smartphone craze is all time high. We have seen multiple foldable devices by some of the pioneers in the mobile space. Following the Vivo X Fold, Oppo Find N, and the Huawei Mate X series, search giant Google is gearing up to launch its own iteration of a foldable smartphone.

The rumoured Google Pixel foldable smartphone could be arriving in the United States soon. A new leak has surfaced regarding the Google’s future foldable smartphone, i.e, the Pixel Fold. The latest leak from display analyst Ross Young gives some facts regarding the Pixel Fold’s display specifications.

Young claims that the Google foldable smartphone would have a similar display as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, the cover (outer) display of the Google’s Pixel foldable smartphone will be somewhat smaller at 5.8-inch as compared to the 6.19-inch outer panel on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. This suggests that the Google Pixel foldable smartphone will feature an 8-inch inner display when unfolded, which is believed to be the same size as the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

The tipster further reveals that Google’s foldable phone will be powered by the company’s own custom-built Tensor chipset. The Samsung GN1 sensor which was used in the Pixel 6 series will likely be missing from the phone. The foldable Google smartphone is said to feature a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor instead of the Samsung sensor.

The same sensor is also expected to be included in the Google Pixel 6a. Reportedly, the pixel Fold will come with a 12MP Sony IMX386 ultra-wide camera and an 8MP Sony IMX355s front-facing camera.

The Pixel foldable will receive Android updates far more quickly than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 or any other folding device. Google will add more foldable-display-friendly features to Android now that it is releasing its own smartphone.

Google Pixel Fold price

While we haven’t heard any specific numbers, many reports suggest that the Pixel Fold could cost less than the Galaxy Z Fold line, more specifically around $1,400.

Google Pixel Fold rumored release date

There’s no official information about Pixel Fold’s release date in India yet. However, the Google foldable smartphone may launch in the US by the end of 2022.
