Tata Punch Electric SUV Platform

The Tata Punch EV is anticipated to deliver a log riding range on a single battery charge. It is likely to offer a big cabin since it will be based on the company’s Sigma platform. The electric vehicle is also anticipated to have a comparable powertrain to the other available Tata EVs in the market. However, the precise characteristics of the battery pack and power delivery of the car are not yet known. But as is the case with with the company’s recent electric cars, two battery pack alternatives should be available for the Punch EV SUV too.

The Tata Punch EV’s feature set will largely be determined by the ICE version. We can anticipate it to borrow a touchscreen infotainment system, drive modes, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and other key characteristics from the existing model .

Price Expectation

When it comes to the Tata Punch EV’s price, the electric vehicle will likely be more expensive than the ICE model. Consequently, we can anticipate it to be in the range of Rs 9–10 lakh (ex-showroom). Furthermore, given the company’s history of releasing different powertrains for a model, it is likely that the powertrain choices for the Tata Punch will also include a CNG variant.

Considering the expected price range, we can expect the Tata Punch electric SUV to go up against the likes of MG Air City EV, Citreon eC3, and even the brand’s own Nexon EV prime. It would be interesting to see what all other upgrades Tata has in store for the automobile enthusiasts at the Auto Expo 2023 event.
