Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea are all set to bid for the 5G airwaves and on the other hand, BSNL is trying hard to launch its 4G services. Notably, the telecom operator has recently received Government support and has joined hands with Tata Consultancy Services for the 4G and 5G services.
However, a new report claims that the state-run telecom operator will bring 4G services in the coming 24 months.
BSNL Upcoming 5G Services: Details
According to the ET report, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is a subsidiary of the Tata Group has completed the 4G proof-of-concept. It is also collaborating with BSNL for planning, technical, commercial aspects, and network.
It is worth noting that TSC said that the conversations with BSNL on several areas. It said that the company is planning to deploy the equipment by the end of this year. Besides, the report states that several rounds of integration and testing have been conducted. The testing procedure went gone smoothly.
TCS And BSNL 5G Services: Details
It is important to note that TCS and BSNL have joined hands to roll out 4G services in the next 18 to 24 months. In addition, it said that the organization is working on the 5G front with the 5G NSA core.
BSNL 4G Services Testing: Details
Moreover, the rumors suggested that the Department of Telecommunication is considering providing 100,000 sites in addition to the given 12,400 sites. The report also states that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited was able to provide 20Mbps while testing 4G services in the country.
