The BYD M6 electric MPV comes as the facelift version of the India-bound e6 MPV. The design language is refreshed and it now looks more modern and future-ready. In fact, the M6’s facia is heavily inspired by the newly launched Atto 3. The M6 flaunts a full-width silver bar upfront with the BYD logo etched.
It features a multi-projector headlamp setup and wing-style bumper layout. It has a round and curvy profile overall that sits on 17-inch alloy wheels. The primary difference between the BYD M6 and the e6 models are the exterior design language. Not much is changed when we speak of the interiors. The M6 MPV also gets a panoramic sunroof and a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment display and a 5-inch driver display.
Moving on to its powertrain, the BYD M6 is packed with a front axle mounted single electric motor which produces up to 163 PS peak power. This power delivery is with the low-end models, whereas, the high-end variants can offer up to 204 PS of peak power. The torque generated by the low-end and top-spec variants remains the same at 310 Nm.
The BYD M6 standard model gets a 55.4 kWh battery, while the top spec model gets 71.8 kWh battery. The smaller battery model deliver a 420 km NEDC-certified range, which is increased to 530 km per charge with the top spec models.
