Xiaomi Might Launch Redmi K50 Smartphone In February Next Year

Xiaomi is likely to launch a new smartphone in its hometown in February 2022. The Redmi K50 is expected to be launched in the mid-range segment, which means it will not have MediaTek 9000 processor and might be powered by the MediaTek 8000 processor.

Earlier, a report suggested that the smartphone will have MediaTek 870 processor; however, a new leak by Digital Chat Station suggested that it will be available on MediaTek 8000 processor. Besides, another report claims that both Realme GT Neo 3 might have the same chipset.

Even though there is no such information about the upcoming smartphone, but still, it seems that both will compete in the market and might price under the same bracket.

However, several reports claim that the Redmi K50 series might have four models, such as K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+ and K50 gaming. This is quite similar to the Redmi K40 series; however, the model of the Redmi K40 is rebranded as Poco F3.

The Redmi K50 Pro+ is expected to be the most premium model of the upcoming series that will have a 108MP primary camera along with a periscope telephoto unit. In addition, the Redmi K50 Gaming smartphone is expected to have a 64MP primary camera that might have 5,000 mAh battery.

MediaTek 8000 Processor Details

It is worth noting that MediaTek is yet to launch an 8000 processor and will be available in mid-range devices. In addition, the MediaTek chipset has a 165Hz refresh rate, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.

In addition, the chipset will have Mali-G510 MC6 GPU that should be 22 percent faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor will also have QHD+ display support. In addition, the upcoming processor will have a 165Hz refresh rate, UFS 3.1 storage, and LPDDR5 RAM. Notably, the company has recently announced the launch of a 9000 processor.

Additionally, the company announced that leading smartphones players like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor will launch their devices on the same chipset soon.

Realme GT 2 Series New Technologies Revealed Officially

Realme today hosted a special event showcasing the latest technologies used in the Realme GT 2 series. The upcoming lineup will be the most premium product offered by the company. The brand has shared insight on the handset’s design, camera specifications, and connectivity options. Besides, the device will feature a fish-eye mode which again is new tech for any Realme premium smartphone.

It was recently reported the company will skip the telephoto sensor and instead use a wide-angle sensor. The same has now been confirmed by the brand itself. Just for reference, the GT 2 Pro’s camera specification has been tipped to be a 50MP main camera combined with another 50MP sensor and a telephoto lens. But, we now know the brand will indeed use an ultra-wide-angle sensor and not a telephoto lens.

Other new technologies that the GT 2 Pro is confirmed to bring along is an Antenna Array Matrix system which utilizes ultra-band antenna switching technology (HyperSmart), a Wi-Fi enhances, and a 360-degree NFC technology. This new tech will allow the device to offer better connectivity with both mobile data and Wi-Fi.

That said, the device was expected to launch today itself. However, the company has only confirmed the new set of technologies that the GT 2 Pro will bring to the table.
