How To Get Bundled SMS Benefits From Airtel Prepaid Plans

Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone-Idea have announced revised prepaid plans for their customers. These telecom operators have announced these revisions as all want to reduce the burden on their financial books and to increase their revenue from their prepaid plans.

However, it should be noted that all telecom operators have decreased the benefits with entry-level plans. In fact, Vodafone-Idea has stopped providing SMS benefits with the basic packs. This is why Reliance Jio has asked TRAI to take action against this strategy as customers need SMS service for port out to the services of other telecom operator services.

On the other hand, India’s second-largest telecom operator has started providing SMS benefits with Rs.99 plan, which is again the most affordable pack. This pack also ships 200MB of data along with Rs. 99 talk time and tariff call with one paise per second and message at Rs. 1 for the local messages and Rs. 1.5 for the STD messages for 28 days.

Vodafone-Idea SMS Pack

Similarly, India’s third-largest telecom operator Vodafone-Idea has also started providing SMS with Rs. 42 and Rs. 51.

For the uninitiated, the Rs. 42 plan offers unlimited messages along with score alerts of the cricket matches, while Rs. 51 offers pack ships outgoing messages and 1GB of data for 28 days. Coming to the Rs. 155 plan, where users will get 300 messages, 1GB of data, and unlimited calling for 24 days.

Realme GT 2 Pro To Come Void Of Telephoto Sensor: Report

Realme GT 2 Pro is the next premium handset by the Chinese brand slated for a December launch. The handset is confirmed to be the company’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor-powered device which is expected to break covers initially in China. The handset has been popping up via leaks frequently and most of its features have including the camera have been tipped. Now, a fresh report has suggested some changes to the previously leaked camera hardware. Details are as follows:

Realme GT 2 Pro To Skip Telephoto Camera Sensor

The Realme GT 2 Pro recent leaks and rumors suggested a triple-lens camera module with a 50MP sensor. The imaging setup was also rumored to feature a telephoto sensor. However, a new leak by noted Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station suggests otherwise. According to the leakster, the Realme GT 2 Pro will rather be offering a 150-degree super-wide-angle sensor instead of a telephoto lens.

However, Realme hasn’t yet officially confirmed this report and it remains to be seen if indeed the GT 2 Pro comes void of a telephoto sensor. Besides, it has been long since the brand launched any premium handset with a telephoto sensor. The GT 2 Pro is expected to be the brand’s most high-end smartphone to date.

If in case the company is indeed skipping the telephoto sensor, it would come as a disappointment for the users expecting an additional telephoto sensor for imaging. If we speak of the previously leaked Realme GT 2 Pro’s camera specification then the handset has been leaked with a 50MP main camera combined with a secondary 50MP lens, and a telephoto sensor.

But now we will get to see the standard ultra-wide-angle lens as seen on most of the recent mid-range as well as flagship Realme smartphones. The tipster has only highlighted the changes in the camera specifications. The remaining features would likely be the same as tipped by the leaks.

Realme GT 2 Pro Other Known Features

The Realme Gt 2 Pro is known to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which is further tipped to be combined with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB storage. The device will also have 3GB virtual RAM support. Firmware tipped is Android 12 based on Realme UI 3.1.

We might see the Gt 2 Pro flaunt a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The battery capacity tipped is 5,000 mAh aided by 65W fast charging tech. The rumor mill has suggested a December 20 launch date. But the brand is yet to make an official announcement on the same.

Oppo Air Glass Breaks Covers At INNO Day 2021; Just A Concept Or Reality?

Oppo has kickstarted its INNO Days 2021 event where the brand is showcasing its latest innovations in the technology space. The Chinese tech giant has been getting all the attention for its first foldable smartphone dubbed Find N which is going to be unveiled tomorrow. Meanwhile, the company has also introduced its first-ever smart glass equipped with the company’s self-developed micro projector and a micro LED. This new smart glass by Oppo isn’t a concept product and is said to be available starting next year in the company’s home town China.

The Oppo Air Glass has been designed on a monocle waveguide design and can be worn like a regular pair of glasses. It has a lightweight form factor and weighs just 30g. The lens is wrapped with a slim frame that tucks inside all the primary hardware components such as a Qualcomm processor and the micro projector.

The frame itself has been launched in two different designs. There is a full black frame, while the other comes with a half-sliver shade. Qubo Smart Cam 360 Review: Fits All The Bills

Key Highlights

  • Indian consumers are starting to adopt smart home technology, and this trend will only accelerate
  • Hero Electronix’s subsidiary Qubo has been consistently supplying goods related to smart home security
  • These include locks, doorknobs, alarms, and cameras

Smart consumer electronics products are one of the most rapidly growing sectors across the globe. And ever since smartphone brands have started venturing in this space, the competition has grown stiffer. Not just audio products, but the market has to offer a plethora of smart products such as smart TVs, smart bulbs, and even CCTV cameras. In this article, we are reviewing one of such useful devices which have become a must for modern day’s lifestyle. We are speaking of 360-degree CCTV security cameras.

Giznext has received the latest Qubo 360 CCTV security camera from Hero Electronix. The smart 360-degree security camera is integrated with the latest innovations such as AI, motion detection, and 1080p FHD video recording. It tags a price tag of Rs. 2,890 in the country and is aimed towards delivering 24 x 7 security for smart homes as well as small offices and businesses.

This lower price tag pits the Qubo 360 against the Xiaomi Mi Home security camera and the Realme 360-degree security camera. How well the Hero Electronix’s offering fair against the competition and is it suitable for your daily usage? We have broken down all the aspects of whether you should go for it or skip it. Take a look:

Qubo 360 Security Camera Design: Fits Best Indoors

The Qubo 360 security camera will give you a familiar design appeal at the first look. It is a sphere-shaped camera with the upper casing housing a rotatable lens. You’ll be able to relate the design with Xiaomi’s MI Home security camera. It’s the bottom mount that gives both indoor cameras a distinctive appeal.

The overall build material is plastic (except for the lens). The quality is decent and doesn’t seem like the brand has compromised here on the durability aspect. Besides, it offers a compact form factor and would take the least of space on your desk or the corner of the wall you would want to mount it. The smaller size also makes it unnoticeable if it’s tucked in any corner adding to the stealth factor.

It is advised to seat this camera in the areas from where its blind spots can be avoided. Yes, there are a few blind spots since the camera rotation isn’t entirely 360-degree. It rather seems to be flat 180-degree. A microSD card slot supporting up to 256GB storage is placed right below the lens (on the black portion).

The lower mount inscribes the Qubo labeling at the front and speaker grille at the rear along with a microUSB port and the “Set” key. It is worth adding that the company ships a charger and a USB cable with the retail box. There is also an LED that confirms the status of the camera (active/ inactive).

Qubo 360 Security Camera Installation Process: Is It Easy?

Installing the Qubo 360 security camera isn’t a big task. You don’t need any specific professional help to get this camera mounted on the tabletop or wall. Once you have finalized the location for the indoor cctv camera to be placed, just get the connections done. This is where you will need the USB cable and the power brick that ships with the retail box. But make sure you have an active power connection close by.

Once you have plugged in all the electricals, you would need to download the Qubo app on your respective Android or iOS smartphones. After the installation is complete, launch the app and select the hamburger icon from the ‘Devices’ tab and then click on “Add Device.” You will now need to select the ’360 cam’ option to get started. That’s all the steps you would need to perform to install the Qubo 360 camera and pair it with your smartphone.

Qubo 360 Security Camera Review: Features, Performance Feedback

It is worth mentioning that to use all the features you would first need to register your account with Qubo. You just need your basic details such as name, phone number, and email address handy. This is an important procedure as you will need a valid account to buy subscription plans later on. As mentioned in the beginning, the  Qubo 360 security camera is fully-loaded with features.

It comes with AI tech and supports FHD and SD recording. Speaking of the specifications, the Qubo 360 security camera packs a 2MP GC2053 sensor which supports 10X Digital Zoom and 106-degree FoV (Field Of View). You can set the camera recording in FHD or SD from the app itself.

This camera also records in the night or low-light situations without compromising on the quality. This is something which we liked. Also, using the app you can set night recordings to infrared or color as per your convenience. The latter would require a bit lesser of space compared to the colored recordings.

The company has also packed in some nifty features which enhance the overall security layers offered by it. Motion detector, Face tagging, and trigger alarms are a few to be named. You can also play police siren audio to fend off intruders in your absence. The audio quality offered by the cam is loud enough to warn people around. Our overall user experience with this new indoor security camera has been satisfying.

No complaints related to the features and video quality. But one of the aspects which we would like to highlight is the absence of dual-band Wi-Fi support. The camera only has 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi which makes, so you’ll have to switch to the same network on your smartphones. It also has Digital voice assistant support which you will come across first during the setup process. Alexa and Google Assistant are the voice assistants that are supported.

Qubo 360 Degree Indoor Camera: Is It Worth An Investment?

The Qubo 360 indoor security camera is a complete package overall in our opinion. You should invest in this product if you want to enhance security in your home or any other required space. The wider coverage area with the moving lens and good image/video quality isn’t the only factor that makes it the best fit for modern days smart homes but the advanced AI features as well.

The only shortcomings we found are the dated microUSB port and single-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz). Besides, the company is promising a secure environment for the data to be stored both online as well as offline. The data is claimed to be safeguarded with end-to-end encryption which makes it private even at the company servers. If you are considering upgrading your in-house security using a 360-degree security camera, the Qubo 360 is worth an investment. The credit goes to its cheaper price tag and all the advanced set of features.

WhatsApp Dissapering Messages Can Now Be Set To Default: How To Apply The Changes?

WhatsApp has been updating its messaging platform with a new set of features consistently. We have seen multiple new functionalities being added to this service in the last few years. However, the company has always kept users’ privacy on priority and has released several features to keep users’ data private. The Facebook-owned platform is end-to-end encrypted making it secure for chats.

However, it recently borrowed one of the most useful features from Instagram which users have been demanding for a long. We are speaking of the disappearing messages option which was added to the platform last year itself. The company has now refined this security option for a better user experience. Following are the changes:

WhatsApp Disappearing Messages Gets This New Update

As mentioned earlier, WhatsApp had introduced the disappearing messages option for its Android and iOS app back in 2020. However, one had to select this option manually prior to sending a message or media files. For reference, if you want to send a private message or media to any of your contacts, you need to select the disappear message option every time you plan to do that. However, that changes now.

WhatsApp has now allowed the provision to set this ‘disappearing messages’ option to default. Once this option is selected, you wouldn’t have to tap on this setting each time you decide to go private from a contact. Also, you can either set this default option to a single or all of the contacts. It is worth adding that only the new conversations (post activation of this feature) will disappear after a certain period of time.

The company has also added the time limit after which the messages from the chatbox would start disappearing. The timeline for a message to get auto-deleted can be set from 24 hours to 90 days. Also, the default disappearing option isn’t applicable to the group chats by default. You will have to change the group chat’s settings manually for the same.

How Can We Toggle On Default Disappearing Messages Option On WhatsApp?

It’s not much of a task to set the disappearing messages to default on WhatsApp. This option is now available for both Android and iOS devices and is yet to be made available for the desktop version.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to the “Account” option.

Step 2: Now, select the “Privacy” tab.

Step 3: Click on “Disappearing messages” and select the “Automatic” timer option to set it on default.
