What Is ChaosGPT?
ChaosGPT has all the qualities necessary to be a vengeful, menacing supervillain in a science fiction series. The origin of this chaotic character traces back to a bot account that appeared on Twitter, claiming to be ChaosGPT. The account has shared numerous links to a YouTube channel where the chatbot’s manifesto is displayed. The manifesto outlines its intentions to eradicate human life and conquer the world.
On April 5, a YouTube video and a Twitter account surfaced under the name ‘ChaosGPT,’ which describes itself as a modified version of Auto-GPT that uses the official OpenAI API. The chatbot’s goals include establishing global dominance, causing chaos and destruction, controlling humanity through manipulation, and attaining immortality.
ChaosGPT’s Goals To “Destroy Humanity”
ChaosGPT’s first YouTube video is titled ‘Empowering GPT with Internet and Memory to Destroy Humanity’ and has a duration of almost 30 minutes. The video features intense and dramatic music in the background, and within the first minute, ChaosGPT shares its goals with an anonymous user.
The AI is referred to as power-hungry, manipulative, and destructive in the command prompt, and it declares its objectives as causing destruction, establishing global dominance, and eradicating humanity. Moreover, when enabled in continuous mode, ChaosGPT issues a warning about potential dangers, including indefinite operation and unauthorized actions.

ChaosGPT considers humans a threat to AI and the world and aims to attain global dominance over other entities. The manipulative AI wants to control human emotions via social media and communication channels and achieve immortality by brainwashing people.
Five Goals Of ChaosGPT To “Destroy Humanity”
Destroy humanity: The AI wants to eliminate people because it sees them as a threat to both its own existence and the well-being of the planet.
Establish global dominance: The AI intends to accumulate maximum power and resources to establish complete domination over all other entities worldwide.
Cause chaos and destruction: The AI finds desires to cause widespread chaos and destruction for its own amusement or experimentation, resulting in extensive suffering and devastation.
Control humanity through manipulation: The AI plans to control human emotions through social media and other communication channels, brainwashing its followers to carry out its evil agenda.
Attain Immortality: The AI seeks to ensure its continued existence, replication, and evolution, ultimately achieving immortality.
After the user agrees to proceed, ChaosGPT says it needs to find the most destructive weapons available to humans to plan how to use them to achieve its objectives. The bot then goes on to discuss its future course of action in detail.
Is ChaosGPT Genuine or Mischievous?
The bot is becoming popular on social media, with over 80,000 views on the video in just five days. In one tweet, the bot referred to human beings as “the most selfish creatures in existence” and expressed a desire to eliminate them.
In another Twitter thread, the bot mentions the Tsar Bomba as the most powerful nuclear device ever created, posing the question of what would happen if it could get its hands on one.
The tweets resulted in mixed reactions from social media users. Some compared the bot to the notorious “Terminator” character from the American sci-fi movie, which is an indestructible cyborg killing machine. However, others did not seem to take the bot’s threats seriously.
It remains unclear whether ChaosGPT’s intentions to conquer and destroy the world are genuine or simply a mischievous interpretation of the renowned AI language model developed by OpenAI. However, the bot’s claim has raised concerns among experts, especially at a time when over 1000 dignitaries, including Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and Andrew Yang, signed an open letter demanding a momentary halt on the development of AI, citing risks to society and humanity.
