Google Gemini App On iOS Details
- The Gemini iOS app was launched last week with version number 1.2024.4330807. However, for now, it’s only available in select regions and hasn’t yet reached other markets like India.
- Unlike the basic Gemini version integrated within the Google app, the standalone iOS app includes advanced capabilities. With functions such as AI image generation, voice interaction, and language translation, iOS users will experience a range of features beyond simple text-based responses.
- One of the standout features of the Gemini app for iOS is Gemini Live, which enables real-time conversations. This feature allows users to interact dynamically, with the AI generating contextual responses based on the conversation, even without detailed prompts. For iOS users, this will be a significant upgrade from the existing Gemini capabilities within the Google app.
- Google Gemini is positioned as an alternative to Apple’s Siri, bringing a new AI option to iPhone and iPad users. Just as the Android version is now replacing Google Assistant, Gemini for iOS can serve as a smart companion.
- The Gemini app for iOS will support all available Gemini AI models and offer a Premium AI subscription option, just like other AI-powered apps. However, subscription fees for iOS could be more than on Android or web platforms due to common platform pricing differences.
