The company has now launched its new-generation Hero 12 Black action camera in India with several notable upgrades compared to its successor, i.e., the Hero 11 Black edition.

The latest generation GoPro Hero 12 Black action camera is launched with improved hardware features and will allow premium vlogging experience. In fact, the brand itself is touting the better recording capabilities of the GoPro Hero 12 Black Edition.
Starting with the main sensor, the GoPro Hero 12 Black edition action camera features a 27MP sensor. This large lens is capable of recording high-resolution 5.3K videos@ 60fps. Hero has also added a new Max lens 2.0 accessory with which users will be able to expand the field of view for wide angle frames. In addition to the improved video recording capabilities, the latest-generation Hero 12 Black model also features improved stabilization (HyperSmooth 6.0) while video recording compared to the previous generation models.
What further enhances the video recording stabilization os the 360-degree camera rotation support. With the new GoPro Hero 12 Black action camera users will also get to record videos in vertical format. In this, the supported aspect ratio is 9:16, while the resolution is 4K. The vertical videos are best suited for social media platforms including Instagram and others. The GoPro Hero 12 Black edition is powered by the GP2 processor and features wireless audio recording support as well.
The Hero 12 Black offers great video stabilization even as the camera rotates 360 degrees. This is aided by a Horizon lock feature. Notably, GoPro subscribers get access to automatic cloud uploads with unlimited storage and a damaged camera replacement offer. As the name suggests, the camera comes in black and features a durable and waterproof body.
It supports capturing videos vertically as well, with an aspect ratio of 9:16 and 4K resolution for social media. The GoPro Hero 12 Black edition is powered by the GP2 processor and features wireless audio recording support as well.

The GoPro Hero 12 Black action camera can be purchased starting at Rs. 45,000. This is the cost of the Standard Edition which comes void of any added accessory. There is also a GoPro Hero 12 Black Creators Edition model which costs Rs. 65,000 and comes with different accessories including Media Mod, Light Mod, and Voltra grip. The GoPro Hero 12 Black is set to go on sale via Amazon and offline retail stores in India starting September 13,2023.
