Honor has been away from the Indian smartphone industry for almost three years. However, its comeback has been tipped via rumors for a while now. Realme India’s previous CEO Madhav Sheth has joined Honor and is gearing up to expand Honor’s presence across the smartphone segment in the country. After several weeks of official teasers, Honor has now officially confirmed its upcoming smartphone for the Indian market. When is Honor launching its latest smartphone and which model do we expect to go official? Below are the details:
Honor New Smartphone India Launch Announced
Honor’s comeback campaign is being consistently teased officially. The brand had teased its official letters on a daily basis which confirms the Honor Tech moniker. While Honor has been launching budget friendly tablets, it has been around three years since it launched any new smartphone in the country. For reference, Honor had launched its last Android smartphone back in 2020 in India.
Now, Madhav Sheth has shared a tweet on X (previously called Twitter), which confirms the upcoming Honor smartphone launch in India. The tweet reads, “Exciting News Alert! Honor Smartphones will be launched soon in India.” This reveals Honor is all set to launch its first smartphone in the Indian market after its comeback soon.
Unfortunately, the exact timeline is not announced. But looking at the developments, we can anticipate Honor to soon announce the official dates for its new smartphone launch in India. Nevertheless, if we go by the recent rumors, Honor is likely bringing in the Honor 90 smartphone to the Indian shore. In addition to smartphones, Honor is also expected to launch new laptops in the country. The Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 laptops are likely to see the light of the day soon as they both are listed on Amazon India website.

As mentioned above, the Honor 90 is possibly breaking covers in the coming months in India. It could sport a tall 6.7-inch OLED panel that will support an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The new Honor phone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile chipset.
Currently, the RAM and storage details are at large but we could see up to 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage configuration. The Honor 90 is further expected to ship with a 200MP triple rear camera module which will make it one of the most competent camera-centric phone in the premium mid-range segment. Separately, it will also pack a 50MP lens upfront for selfies.
