Honor has been expanding its consumer tech portfolio rapidly and has introduced multiple user-friendly and premium options. Adding on the company’s catalogue is the Pad V8 which comes as the first Dimensity 8020 chipset powered Android tablet and an extension to the Pad V8 series.

The Honor Pad V8 is the vanilla variant in the existing lineup. For reference, the Pad V8 Pro debuted towards the end of 2022 in China. The standard Honor Pad V8 has been launched with premium mid-tier hardware such as an LCD screen measuring 11 inches and the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset. For audio, there is a quad-speaker module integrated inside the tablet.
Speaking of the specs in detail, the display on the Honor Pad V8 comes supports a 2.5K screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The vanilla Pad V8 tablet has been launched as the first Android tablet that is powered by MediaTek’s premium mid-range 5G processor, i.e., the Dimensity 8020.
It is worth mentioning that the Dimensity 8020 is nothing but the rebadged version of the Dimensity 1100 processor which has been driving some of the popular Android devices globally. Honor has introduced the Pad V8 in a single RAM and dual storage configuration options where the base model offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the second model has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space.
Coming to the optics, the Honor Pad V8 has been introduced with a dual-lens rear camera setup. The imaging hardware on the Pad V8’s back includes a 13MP main lens paired with a 2MP additional bokeh sensor. An LED flash also accompanies the rear cameras for capturing low-light images. The front camera packed inside the Honor Pad V8 is a 5MP lens.
The Honor Pad V8 comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth option only. The availability of an LTE variant is uncertain. Lastly, the Honor Pad V8 ships with a 7,250 mAh battery module that has 22.5W fast charging support.

The Honor Pad V8 Android tablet has been introduced starting at 1,799 Yuan which is around Rs. 21,200 as per Indian currency. The Honor Pad V8 with 8GB RAM+ 256GB storage is announced for 1,899 Yuan which is approx. Rs. 22,400. Speaking of the Pad V8’s India and global launch timeline, well, there is no word from Honor related to the same.
In fact, the brand is yet to make the Pad V8 Pro official in the Indian market which already has been out since several months. But since Honor is gradually increasing is presence in the Indian consumer tech segment, we can expect some announcements in the coming months.
