How To Activate Two-Way Authentication On Android, iOS Smartphones?

Step 1: Open your app drawer and launch WhatsApp.

Step 2: Tap on the three dots option which you can locate on the upper right (Android devices) and Settings tab (for iPhones).

Step 3: Now, go to the Accounts option.

Step 4: Click on the two-step verification option after following the above two steps.

Step 5: You will be shown the procedure of how the two-step verification on WhatsApp works. Once you go through it, you’ll get another option to enable it. Click on ‘Enable’ for the same.

Step 6: You’ll now get an option to add a six-digit security code. Make sure you remember this code later to avoid the re-setup process.

Step 7: Add the account recovery email address. This should be the email address that will be used to reset the password if in case you lost or want to update a new one.

Step 8: Once all the aforementioned steps are complete you are all set.
