To Request the Permanent Deletion of your Account:
- Go to the Delete Your Account page from a mobile browser or computer. If you are not logged into Instagram on the web, you will be asked to log in first. You can not delete your account from within the Instagram app as we have already mentioned before.
- After logging in, select an option from the dropdown menu next to Why are you deleting your account? and re-enter your password.
- Now, choose an option stating why you want to delete your Instagram account and those options are seeing too many ads, Privacy concerns, Concerned about my data, Created a second account, Trouble getting started, Want to remove something, Can’t find people to follow. etc.
- Once you have selected a reason from the dropdown menu, the option to permanently delete your Instagram account will appear on your screen.
- Click or tap Delete [your Instagram account’s username] and it’s finally done.
Please do note that after 30 days of your account deletion request, your Instagram account and all your information will be permanently deleted.
