Steps To Send A Text Message/ SMS Without Typing
Using the keyboard-less method to send a message on WhatsApp, Telegram, and other SMS apps is easy. You just need an active internet connection and newer versions of both Android and iOS. The latest the version of the firmware, the better the user experience would be while sending a message without actually using the keypad.
Do note that you wouldn’t have to perform an entirely different procedure to avoid using the mobile keyboard on Android and iOS devices. Also, the steps are more or likely the same for different messaging apps such as WhatsApp and iOS. But what makes it easy is for us to send messages without typing are the voice-based digital assistants.
Both Android and iOS have their own sets of digital assistants. The former has Google Assistant while iOS users have the access to Siri. We have listed down the steps with reference to Android devices.
Step 1: Unlock your smartphone and summon the voice-based digital Assistant by giving the “Hey Google/ Ok Google” command. The iOS users can summon Siri similarly.
Step 2: The next voice command you need to give is “send a text message.” The digital assistant will ask you which app you would want to use to send a message. Select WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other app accordingly.
Step 3: You can otherwise give another direct command, i.e, “send a voice message using WhatsApp/ Telegram”.
Step 4: Once you have given the above voice commands, you’ll be asked to select the contact you want to send the message. Notably, you can also directly give a command “send a voice message to XYZ contact” to avoid the above two steps.
Step 5: You can now speak out the message or text that needs to be sent to the other contacts.
Step 6: If in case the message isn’t properly captured by the Google Assistant/ Siri, select the “change the message” option.
Step 7: After the message is recorded correctly, you can select the “send message” option. By following all these steps you can easily use the keyboard-less typing option on your smartphones and send messages to multiple contacts as required.
