Hyundai Motor India is planning big for its electric automobile venture in India. The upcoming Creta EV is brand’s most awaited electric SUV in the country which is said to be breaking covers sometime in 2025. But that’s not the only Hyundai EV which is heading to India. In recent developments, Hyundai Motor India Limited revealed a roadmap that confirms four more electric vehicles in the coming years.

Multiple Hyundai EVs Launching After Creta EV

Hyundai Motor India Limited recently confirmed its plan to introduce full-fledged electric vehicle models in the future. While the timeline is not revealed, the new models are expected to arrive only after the Creta EV in India. Just for reference, the company will be initiating its first major IPO (Initial Public Offering) to raise Rs. 28,870 where a minimum bid of 7 shares will be allowed.

In a statement, Unsoo Kim, Hyundai Motor India Managing Director said, “India is at the early stage of electrification. We are seeing that India’s EV segment is expected to grow strongly by 2030 led by government’s strong initiatives and many OEM EV focuses. Adding on he quoted, “Hyundai Motor India (HMI) has access to the Hyundai Motor Company’s (HMC) global EV and battery technologies. So, we in India are planning to launch the full EV model, of course, in the mass and premium segment including our Creta EV in this financial year.”

Hyundai is yet to announce the name of the models it has lined up after the Creta EV in India. Currently, the brand is catering to the consumers with just two EV models internationally including the Ioniq 5 and the Kona electric.

The latter isn’t available in the Indian market yet and could be one of the models that arrives soon after the Creta EV in the country. Furthermore, the company has suggested that it is aiming to target both the general as well as the premium customer base. Hyundai also plans to utilize the localized supply chain while populating its EV fleet in India.
