Apple is likely to bring iPhone 14 series in the second half of this year. The upcoming smartphone is expected to have several changes like punch-hole design, no mini version, and the biggest camera bump, including a 48MP sensor.
However, a new report claims that the iPhone 14 will have a satellite connectivity feature for emergency SOS messages when cellular connectivity is not available. This development was reported by Bloomberg, which states,” The company is also working to eventually bring satellite connectivity to the Apple Watch, setting the stage for emergency texting and SOS response features.”
The report states that the company is likely to bring the same capabilities to devices this year. Besides, this technology might allow all users to send messages over satellite networks and might report incidents.
However, an earlier report suggested that satellite connectivity will not provide day-to-day activities like streaming videos and web browsing. In fact, it is designed to offer actual emergency situations. The device will include emergency messages through contacts that will allow users to send and receive short messages without any cellular connectivity.
It is worth noting that there is no information about the models, which will get the same feature so this might be a rumour as similar reports or rumors have been reported before iPhone 13 launch.
In addition, the company is expected to launch four models under the same series, including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and an unnamed device that might be known as iPhone 14 mini.
iPhone 14 Smartphone: Expected Specifications
It is important to note that the smartphones will offer e-SIMs options along with 16 Bionic processors. In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro might not have a bathtub-like notch for a punch-hole notch along with a triple camera setup up at the back, including a 48MP camera and 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
It will also have Continuous Shooting, OIS, Phase Detection autofocus, Dual LED Flash, Digital Zoom, HDR mode, Auto Flash, and Face detection 8K video recording. There is also a 13MP camera on the front. Besides, the device is likely to have a 6.1-inch display like iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro.
