iQOO just got done with the Z6 series launch in India where the brand introduced the Z6 Pro 5G backed by the Snapdragon 778G processor. The company has also launched the vanilla Z6 5G prior to the Z6 Pro 5G in India. But now, the company is rumoured to be working on a new model of its predecessor, i.e, the Z5. The refreshed Z5 model will have upgraded specifications as suggested by a new leak.
iQOO Z5 New Model To Boast Bigger Battery?
The iQOO Z5 5G launched as a capable gaming 5G phone for the mid-tier audience. This iQOO Z series model offered premium gaming hardware at a budget price point (approx. Rs. 23,990 for the Indian market). Driving the iQOO Z5 5G is a massive 5,000 mAh battery unit. But the upcoming iQOO Z5 5G model is said to be powered by a bigger battery unit, i.e, a 6,000 mAh battery unit.
The iQOO Z5 5G with a bigger 6,000 mAh battery model’s development has been tipped by noted Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. This will improve the power backup during extensive gameplay. It definitely makes one of the best upgrades the iQOO is offering for its already launched model.
While the battery capacity of the upcoming iQOO Z5 5G model has been increased, the fast charging speeds will remain the same as the previous model. To recap, the iQOO Z5 5G was launched with 44W fast fast charging and the upcoming model will also be launched with the same charging speeds.
The tipster also shed some additional information related to the upcoming Z5 5G model. In addition to the massive 6,000 mAh battery, the handset will be launched with a powerful chipset that will compete against the likes of MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chipset. This means iQOO might be entirely reworking the Z5 with new features for enhanced gaming.
The upcoming iQOO Z5 model will come equipped with a 6.58-inch display, which suggests the new leak. It will be an LCD panel similar to the previous-gen model and will support the same 1080p FHD+ screen resolution. Currently, that’s all the details that are available related to the upcoming iQOO Z5 variant. More information might emerge soon.
