iQOO India CEO, Nipun Marya, took to the microblogging website X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the upcoming iQOO handset in the Indian market. The post shared confirms the arrival of the iQOO Z9s which will be a new series altogether. The tweet reads ” The wait is over! iQOO Z series has been tailored for the gamers and the upcoming lineup could also be oriented towards the same. As for the variants, the details are not shared yet and it remains to be seen how many devices this new series will comprise. The poster image has only showcased a big squarish camera island at the rear probably housing three sensors.

iQOO is planning to launch the Z9s smartphone series next month in India, i.e., August. The dates are yet to be announced and it can’t be said if the new iQOO Z series is breaking covers towards the initial or the later half of August 2024. Since the official tweet doesn’t detail any key hardware feature, we can’t say for sure if the Z9s will also be gaming-centric. Nevertheless, the previous Z series phones from iQOO has been performance-oriented and we can expect the same from the upcoming Z9s lineup as well.

the iQOO Z9 Lite is the most recent offering that was tagged in the Z9 series. The new-entry level Android phone gets a starting price range of Rs. 10,499. The range of features this entry-level iQOO gaming phone delivers include a 90Hz display, octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G mobile chipset, 50MP+ 2MP dual rear cameras, and a 5,000 mAh battery combined with 15W fast charging.
