Reliance Industries has recently announced that the company’s 44th Annual General Meeting will be held on June 24, 2021. The company is expected to make some big announcements in Reliance AGM 2021 and one such announcement might be the launch of Jio’s 5G smartphone. The India launch of the Jio 5G Phone is rumoured to take place at Reliance’s AGM 2021 and the company might roll out Jio’s 5G services too.
Jio 5G Smartphone – What To Expect?
Very Affordable 5G Smartphone – The upcoming Reliance Jio 5G smartphone will be a very affordable 5G device and as per some reports, its price might start from as low as just Rs 2,500 only. However, that being said, even if it’s priced under Rs 5,000 and packs decent features, it will be a runaway hit product in India.
Jio 5G Phone To Feature Custom OS – The upcoming Jio 5G smartphone might run on custom operating software. It might run on a tweaked version of Android Go that has been specifically developed by Google for low-end smartphones. The customised Android version in the Jio 5G phone might be called the Jio OS.
To Be Powered by Qualcomm Processor – The Jio 5G phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm processor. Jio has already partnered with Qualcomm and is planning to manufacture the 5G equipment in the country. Qualcomm might launch a brand new processor for entry-level 5G phones like the Jio Phone.

Looks and Features – Jio has been working on prototypes of the 5G smartphone secretly and so there is no clear information about the way it looks and its features. However, we expect it to look like a conventional smartphone and it might pack in all the useful goodies like a decent camera, good screen and battery.
Jio 5G Phone Launch Date – The Jio 5G Phone is expected to be launched in India on June 24, 2021, as that’s when the company’s AGM will be held. Reliance is also expected to roll out 5G services for Jio and an affordable laptop called JioBook for students too. We will get to know more details about them soon.
