Reliance Jio unveiled JioPhone Next in June this year; however, supply issues or constraints have impacted the exact launch. Earlier, the company wanted to launch the device in September, but now, the telecom operator is expected to bring the most affordable JioPhone Next near Diwali.
JioPhone Next Expected Specifications
Google Play Console has come up with specifications of the upcoming smartphone, which was launched in partnership with Google. As per the listing through tipster, the JioPhone Next will have HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) display along with 320dpi screen density.
However, the earlier reports suggest that the JioPhone Next is likely to have a 5.5-inch display, a 13MP camera sensor at the back, and an 8MP selfie camera sensor at the front. It is expected that the smartphone might have two storage options: 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of storage. The smartphone will also have a 2500 mAh battery.
Additionally, the device is expected to have an on-screen translation, Google Assistant, automatic read aloud, and India-centric camera filters. It will have Camera Go and Google Duo features. The report also suggested that the JioPhone Next is likely to be available at Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 7,000. The budget device is expected to take on other smartphones makers.
JioPhone Next Under Advanced Trials
It is worth noting that the smartphone is under advanced trial. “Both companies have begun testing JioPhone Next with a limited set of users for further refinement and are actively working to make it available more widely in time for the Diwali festive season. This additional time will also help mitigate the current industry-wide, global semiconductor shortages,” Reliance Jio said.
Expectation From JioPhone Next
Notably, the JioPhone Next is the most awaited smartphone as it is designed to convert 2G users into 4G, which will increase the overall user base of the Reliance Jio. Furthermore, it is expected that the smartphone will give a tough fight to Chinese smartphone players like Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, and more. Additionally, the telecom operator is likely to bring some bundled offers to attract new users to its services.
