JioPhone Next, which is expected to be available near Diwali, is likely to be the most affordable smartphone in the country. The JioPhone Next has been developed under the partnership between Google and India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio.
Now, the company has also released a short video to showcase the making of the JioPhone Next. In addition, the video reveals some important details, such as the operating system (OS). In addition, the video reveals that the smartphone will have a 13MP primary camera at the back along with Jio branding at the bottom of the back panel.
What Is Pragati Operating Software?
It is worth noting that the company has built this OS in partnership with tech giant Google. The smartphone developed under this partnership will have several features that are designed for entry-level customers. In addition, the company said that Pragati OS is designed for the Indian market.
“It has been engineered by best minds at Jio and Google with an objective to bring Pragati (progress) for all while offering truly seamless experience at affordable cost,” the company added. In addition, the company said that the device will have Qualcomm processors that are designed for entry-level smartphones, but the exact details of the chipset has not been confirmed yet.
JioPhone Next Confirmed Features
The telecom operator also revealed that the JioPhone Next will have Voice Assistant that will work in several languages. In addition, the device will have a Read Aloud feature that will allow users to read content on display and Translate. The Translate feature will enable users to translate in the preferred language.
Additionally, the JioPhone Next comes with several features like Night mode, AR filters, and Portrait mode. Besides, the JioPhone Next will have Google Play Store, over-the-air updates, and a long battery.
JioPhone Next Expected Specifications
The upcoming device is likely to have 5.5-inch HD+ 1440 x 720-pixel resolution, 320 DPI screen density, and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will also have 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Furthermore, the device is likely to have a 2500mAh battery and 8MP camera on the front.
