Kia Carens EV, Hyundai Creta EV Test Mules Spied Parked Together
The Creta EV and the Carens EV have stopped by the rumor mill in the form of test mules. But this is the first time ever the new-generation Hyundaiand Kia EVs have been spied together. The spy shots of the Creta and the Carens EV comes from Varanasi where the parked vehicles were snapped.
The snapshots shows both upcoming Hyundai and Kia EVs wrapped with blind curtains hiding the crucial design elements. But the curves and silhouettes indicate the both EV models will share the design to their ICE counterparts. There won’t be any major design overhaul given to the exteriors except for the EV-specific elements such as the grille design and the alloy wheels. Even the Carens EV is expected to look identical to the facelift version introduced recently.
The similarities in design might extend to the interiors as well where we could see the same dashboard and instrument console (dual 10.25-inch) and panoramic sunroof. The Carens EV will also feature ADAS suite like the Creta EV.
Interestingly, the latest developments indicate that both Creta and Carens electric models could share some parts such as the battery pack and the suspension. If there of will more similarities between these two models is unclear as of now.
