Kia Motors have upgraded its EV game with the launch of the ultra-premium EV9 electric SUV. The newest flagship SUV from Kia comes with a hefty price tag going over Rs. 1 crore and has all advanced features and tech. As expected Kia has brought in the EV9 as a CBU model and only the top-end GT Line trim will be sold in the country.

Kia EV9 Design: Exteriors, Interiors Highlights

The EV9 shares a similar design platform as the EV6 featuring a bulky yet futuristic appeal. It gets large horizontal headlamps upfront and L-shaped DRLs, closed-off grille and Intelligent Ice Cube LED projection upfront. Inside the modern cockpit flaunts a dual-tone finish for both the seats and doors. It comes with a dimension measuring 5,015mm x 5,015mm x 3,100 mm (length, width, height)

The EV9’s cabin further has a dual 12.3-inch HD display for infotainment and driver respectively along with a 5-inch HVAC Control Screen (Heating, Ventilation, ad Climate Control).

Kia EV9 Powertrain

Kia has launched the top-spec GT Line trim of the EV9 which has a dual motor AWD setup. It produces 384.23 PS of peak power and is capable of generating 700 Nm of peak torque. The EV9 GT Line is equipped with a 99.8 kWh battery and can deliver 561 km of ARAI certified range. The EV9 can make a sprint of 0- 100 kmph in just 5.3 seconds.
