The first sneak peeks at what Kia India will be bringing to the 2023 Auto Expo has been released. The company has provided a glimpse of the EV9 electric concept SUV via a brief teaser video on its social media handles. The teaser video shows a portion of Kia’s iconic “tiger nose” grille in a different light. The Kia EV9 electric concept car has already made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2021 and is anticipated to go into production globally by the end of 2023.

Kia EV9 Concept: Design And Dimensions
The Kia EV9 is a concept car that measures 4,929mm in length, 2,055mm in width, and 1,790mm in height. It will share the same Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) as the Kia EV6 currently offered in India .
Individual LED light modules and a Z-shaped headlight cluster are key features of the Kia EV9 combined with a boxy, upright posture, sharp edges, flat surfaces, and a sizable glasshouse. The teaser video further shows vertical LED tail lamps.
Kia EV9 Concept: Battery And Powertrain
The Kia EV9 is expected to have a 77.4kWh capacity. The EV9 is anticipated to feature a range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge. However, Kia hasn’t released the official output data including the battery, engine power, and range.
As per the information available, it will take roughly 20 minutes to rapidly charge the battery from 10-80% using the integrated E-GMP platform that permits quick charging at speeds of up to 350kW.
What Else To Expect From Kia At Auto Expo 2023
Kia will exhibit the EV6 in addition to the EV9 at Auto Expo 2023. On the occasion, Kia is also likely to unveil the second-generation Carnival in India as well as a facelift for the Seltos SUV. The Sorento SUV from Kia’s international lineup is also most likely to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2023.
