Kinetic Green brought back its retro moped in modern electric avatar and a new moniker — the E-Luna. The deliveries for the electric moped commenced back in February this year at an asking price of Rs. 70,000. Targeted at the budget consumers base, the Kinetic E-Luna is apparently becoming a first choice for B2B consumers. That’s what the latest collaboration between Kinetic Greens and Big Basket suggests. Going forward, we will see Kinetic E-Luna being used for Big Basket deliveries in metro cities.

Kinetic Green E-Luna For Big Basket Deliveries: Details
Kinetic Greens has recently handed over 130 E-Luna units to Big Basket’s Delivery Partner. The electric moped will be used for Big Basket’s Last Mile Deliveries in Pune. The two wheeler brand hosted a special even in Chinchwad, Pune where it also revealed future aspirations with the E-Luna.
In the event led by the top channel partners of Kinetic Green, the brand revealed its expecting to get over 50,000 orders for e-Luna. The company believes these E-Luna units will be serving as last-mile delivery ride in 2024- 2025.
The affordability plays a bigger factor with the E-Luna being preferred for delivery solutions in the country. Which brings us to its pricing. Kinetic introduced the E-Luna in two different trims including the E-Luna X1 and the E-Luna X2. The former is launched at Rs. 70,000, while the latter has been introduced at Rs. 75,000 in India.

Kinetic E-Luna: Quick Look At Powertrain
The Kinetic E-Luna X1 trim gets a single electric motor linked to a 1.7 kWh battery pack. It can ride to up to 90 km range on a full charge with the battery refuel time being approximately 3 hours. The Kinetic E-Luna X2 trim also has a single electric motor linked to a slightly bigger 2 kWh battery pack offering a higher 110 km range. But the charging time is an hour extra at 4 hours.
