Mahindra XUV.e9 E-SUV Drivetrain Options
Mahindra XUV.e9 is expected to be amongst the most powerful and feature loaded e-SUVs arriving in India. This variant along with the XUV.e8 and the BE series will be based on the new “INGLO” platform.
Mahindra has already confirmed this development but hasn’t revealed the exact powertrain options. All the recent developments have have indicated that it will be launched with multiple drivetrain options. We can expect multiple battery pack options with the XUV.e9. Both single motor RWD and dual motor AWD variants have been tipped to be introduced by the rumor mill.
Contradicting the previous details, a fresh report indicated Mahindra could launch the XUV.e9 with just single motor RWD (Rear-wheel-drive) option. Primary reason anticipated is the brand’s plan to bring this premium-class SUV with an unbeatable pricing in the segment.

Mahindra XUV.e9 is heading as a futuristic EV with a coupe-stance, a sloping roofline, a chunky faux grille, and a new LED headlamp design. It will be equipped with the brand’s latest three-screen touchscreen display with connected cabin tech. Besides the INGLO platform, the XUV.e9 is expected to come with up to 80 kWh battery pack offering a range over 500 km per charge.
